From its career with the Israeli civilian Police, the Mishteret Y’Israel, comes this FN Belgian Made Hi-Power, model of 1935, also known as the P-35. This Hi-Power’s serial number is a very distinctive one, 07- prefix with five digits; and it has been arsenal or factory updated, most likely sometime in the 1980s, by having its frame parkerized, its slide refinished to Mark II type and, we suspect, being rebarreled. Its two-finish status reminds us of the popular two-tone practicals. Our best estimate is that it was manufactured in 1967, part of a sizeable order after the successful 1967 war. Caliber is THE 9mm, 9mm Luger, 9x19, 9mm Parabellum, call it what you will. Construction is entirely steel, 118 mm or 4 5/8 inch barrel, right-hand-twist 6 groove; magazine safety and firing pin safety; weight empty 32 oz / 900 g; fixed low profile combat sights; single action only with lever safety; .265 smooth face combat trigger with matching serrated spur hammer. Frame, barrel, and slide are all matching numbers. Slide is marked Fabrique Nationale / Herstal Belgique, with PW Arms import marking beneath on the left side of the frame as required by US Law. Surface detractions amount to a moderate amount of scouring on the matte black slide finish, and moderate whitening on the frame edges. We rate this Belgian-Israeli Hi-Power as Very Good arsenal refinish seventy to eighty percent range by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber and mechanism are bright, clean, and excellent. Magazine is R.A. marked military. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges.
