Description: This As New Remington Model 31 in 16 gauge was the feature gun in the July 2015 issue of Shotgun Sports Magazine. It was the last shotgun Remington produced with ALL machined parts. The model was discontinued with the introduction of the 870 Wingmaster. It was their first side ejection pump and....quite possibly their best. The late Michael McIntosh said his Model 31 cycled shells like it ran on ball bearings. With 26" barrel, and Remington Modified choke, it is beautifully balanced...and, handles like a dream. We had the triggers lightened by our gunsmith to an optimal 4.5 lbs. It crushes clays and harvests birds with any 2 3/4 inch, 16 gauge ammunition.
