The "Evil Roy" variety Single Action Army revolver manufactured by Uberti represents a factory, fine-tuned version of the other Uberti SAA models based on the Colt 1873 Peacemaker. For those unfamiliar with Uberti Evil Roy SAA’s you can read many articles singing the praises of these fine firearms including an article right here in the Gunsamerica blog, "Cimarron-evil-roy-cowboy-colt-replica" There are many other similar positive reviews of this gun on the web. The gun I have here for sale is new in its factory box and has never been used. I have another Evil Roy .357 Mag like this one which I actually shoot and it is a fantastic gun with butter smooth action. It’s just a blast to shoot, no pun intended. One article I’ve read on the ER’s says that the Uberti factory tuning of the ER’s produces a 2 lb trigger pull and though I’ve never actually measured the trigger pull on the gun I shoot I imagine it is right at about 2lbs – very light and crisp. The factory one-piece grips that accompany the gun I have here for sale here are spectacular-I have over twenty collectible vintage Colt and S&W handguns and I must say that the grips on this Evil Roy rival even the most coveted wooden grips adorning the guns in my collection with very finely cut checkering made of nicely figured burled walnut. I have over ten 2nd and 3rd generation Colt SAA’s in my collection and I can tell you that based on my experience with my Evil Roy shooter that I’d prefer to have and shoot this factory tuned gun over a straight out-of-the box 3rd generation Colt any day of the week. Plus a new Evil Roy sells for about a third of the cost of a pre-owed 3rd generation Colt SAA. As previously mentioned the gun for sale is new and has never been fired and has no issues with original metallic or wooden surfaces, barrel, bore, etc. Box is good but with a tear on front fastening flap that can easily be repaired.
