Seen throughout the Pacific campaign and in China/Manchuria. Several versions were developed, and these were primarily used by Type 96 and Type 99 machine gunners, but riflemen also used them as was seen extensively throughout Guadalcanal. Shield has a carrying handle and adjustable stability brace. Very few have made it back to the U.S. after the war, but Sarco has had the shield reproduced from an original. A smart design and finally available for military collectors! With some Kevlar laminates applied, this shield could make an excellent personal combat shield for today’s combat operations.
