It was made in 1953 and has the standard 20 inch carbine barrel. The bore is like new, sharp and mirror bright, no trace of wear or pitting, I rate it a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. The sights are Winchester factory carbine sights and the front sight hood is present. The blue is a strong 95%++ on all surfaces. There is trace sharp edge wear on the forward edges of the receiver bottom and a small touch on the muzzle. The buttplate is sharp and crisp witn no noticeable wear. All screw slots are sharp and show no evidence of ever being turned. The wood is solid and tight, no cracks, chips or bad dents. The wood does show very light handling use but nothing I would rate as significant. Overall a very clean vintage carbine in the scarce 25-35 caliber. This Winchester has seen very little field use and will be a fine addition to your collection.
