This is an SVT-40 that is a Finnish capture. Used by the Russians in 1940 and captured by the Fins. 1941 Tula arsenal. Pushed into service to fight the Soviets. No parts match which is typical of these firearms. Outside finish of the gun is %50. The bore is good. Dark and strong rifling. The stock has a slight crack in the neck, which is easy to repair, barely noticeable. Rarely did these rifle go back to the arsenal because it was kept by the individual soldier. If they sent them to the arsenal the soldiers would not get them back unless they shot a certain group. That is when the SA stamp went on there. Has grooves cut into the side for a sniper mount. This has an aftermarket scope mount, and it a very accurate reproduction, but the scope is an original WW2 scope. The scope is a 3.5 power. These guns are just as good as the M1-Garands and just as accurate . These are getting hard to find with especially with the SA stamp.
