Description: This Colt hammerless caliber 380ACP was produced in 1920. The serial number is 39XXX. Being type III, It has original early hard rubber grips, that are in fine condition with no cracks or chips. The checkering is sharp and defined. The bore is bright and clean. All mechanics are excellent and it functions perfectly. The slide serial number matches the frame number. The original blued finish would rate a 92%- 95% overall condition; with only edge blue loss. There are no surface scratches on the slide or frame, and this pistol displays only moderate use. It has with it two correct magazines for this model. Also included is an original pair of Colt Walnut checkered grips used on later models, with screw and Colt medallions. Colt 380's are very difficult to find in this condition today. Most of these little pistols saw hard use and wear; especially true of the early pistols. This is a nice collectable Colt!
