**This rifle was listed recently but GunsAmerica removed the listing because I included information about me that apparently violates an internal policy of redirecting members to another site. I did not include this to refer anyone to buy anything anywhere else. I used it strictly to indicate my reliability as a seller as I do not yet have many sales. As a buyer I too depend on the honesty and integrity of sellers and anything to help provide confidence is helpful. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Up for your consideration is a beautiful 100-year (1871-1971) commemorative edition Harrington & Richardson 1873 U.S. Model trap door rifle in .45-70 caliber. The rifle has a 26" barrel, front post with ivory bead sight and a rear Creedmore peep sight. It comes with a maple rod beneath the barrel (in case you lodge a casing or need to patch your barrel). The trap door receiver is case colored as is the rear sight, hammer, trigger guard and lower tang, butt plate, and lock plate. The walnut stock is fully checkered at the straight hand and at the fore-end. Some of the metalwork has a light engraving to accentuate it. Sling eyes are present on this rifle. This beauty shows very little wear and has minor spot marks that do not detract from the overall beauty of this rifle. The rifle weighs 7 lbs. 14 ozs
