Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: Merkel 16/20ELC 16ga./20ga. TWO BARREL SET WITH LUXUS WOOD The Merkel 1620 ELC is described as the perfect 16ga. sporting double. Built on a 20ga. frame and in combination with a set of 20ga. barrels you have the perfect 2 barrel set for all of your upland and clay target needs. Finely engraved by master engraver Matthias Koch, it weighs just 6lbs. and balances perfectly ¼” ahead of the hinge pin for that dynamic feel of a custom double. This is a very hard to find 2 barrel set and is provided with absolutely stunning LUXUS grade Turkish walnut and is new in the box with all paperwork. My search shows there are no other sets offered for sale, and to get one ordered would take over 6 months for delivery. Both barrel sets are 28” and choked IC/M and are new in all ways. No dents, dings, scratches, and the 16ga. has 2 ¾” chambers, the 20ga. set having 3” chambers for magnum loads. The ejectors are strong and timed, and everything is in perfect working order. The action is coin finished and deep relief engraved by Merkel’s master engraver Matthias Koch. The double triggers are clean and crisp, the long tang trigger guard finely engraved, screws are untouched, and all is brand new and perfect. The English style buttstock and splinter forend are highly figured and without flaw. The checkering is new, and wood to metal fit is impeccable. The LOP is 14 ¼”, drop at heel is 2 ½”, drop at comb is 1 3/8”. Dimensions can be altered to your specs for a small extra charge. The photos tell all regarding this knockout wood. This is a fine European shotgun with great versatility. Being offered at over $1000 less than the going price will make this a very desirable acquisition. Sure to hold its value and be the ultimate fine German two barrel set, this is an investment grade firearm. Sold in the original box with all paperwork, it is a rare find indeed.
