Photos show two out of several dozen cleaning kits we recently came across in an old West Coast warehouse. These are German Government issue, supplied to both German Army soldiers and to the German Federal Police, the Bundespolizei. Pistols that these kits came in with were dated from the late 1950s up until the middle 1970s. As the photos show, they include an oil bottle, a pull-through bore chain that is long enough to clean the standard issue G3 rifles or manageable enough to clean a P-38 or Sig P-6. Issue and use of these very kits explains the excellent condition that we normally find most German guns in; the German Police and Army actually keep their guns clean.
