W.A. SUKALLE Mauser .270 Win. This sporter was made by Phoenix gunsmith Bill Sukalle in 1948 using K98 action and his own renowned 6 land barrel. Sukalle was one of the best metal smiths of the mid-20th century and created rifles for Jack O'Conner and other well-known hunters and collectors. He generally did not do the stock work and this rifle has later, 1960's vintage field-grade stock that is glass-bedded. The rifle deserves to be re-stocked as Sukalle's rifles were stocked by some of the best, e.g. Tom Shelhamer. Metal is about 90%. Action very smooth with Dayton-Traister trigger. Bore is excellent. Email or call for additional images or questions. 804/. Sling and minty Bausch & Lomb Balfor B 4x scope included.
