This Astra A-100 represents that masterpiece of the finest general production Spanish Arms Maker, Unceta y Compania of Guernica Spain. Sadly the company was forced out of business in 1998, but not for lack of quality products. Many of us Gringos recognized Astra pistols' excellent quality in the 1950s and 1960s, and they have never disappointed. This is Astra's model A-100, very similar in design and quality to the Sig P-226, only with all steel construction. Note the full-length, full contact slide rails on the frame. This feature in conjunction with the full length guide rod ensures accuracy and reliability. Construction is all matte blue steel with glossy side flats on the slide. Weight empty is a solid, pleasant-shooting 35 1/2 ounces empty. Mec-Gar original magazine holds 17 rounds, 17 + 1 capacity of 9mm. Type is traditional double action semi-auto with slide mounted decocking lever. Slide is equipped with a firing pin safety. Barrel length is a compact 3 5/8 inches, with maximum overall height of 5 1/2 inches from the steel magazine floorplate to the top of the windage adjustable dot rear sight. Grip frame is one of the most comfortable of all high capacity pistols, very similar to the Beretta Vertec. Take down lever on the right side of the frame is as easily utilized as the pricier Sig competitors'. This particular specimen is not date coded, none of the E.A.A. imported Astras were to our knowledge; but this one's serial number is 84xxB, and we estimate it was manufactured in 1991 or 1992. This Astra's only surface detractions are moderate whitening on the sharp edges of the slide, frame, and levers. We rate it as a strong Very Good, close to Excellent, since we estimate that 85 percent of its original finish is intact. It is excellent mechanically, and its bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the single action pull gauges 3 1/2 pounds with only moderate creep. We're offering this fine Spanish pistol for only $ 339.95. Not transferable to civilians in California, D.C., or Massachusetts. Prepaid freight but no magazine for civilian buyers in jurisdictions with ten- to fifteen-round magazine capacity restrictions.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
