Early 1915 BSA produced Enfield rifle chambered in 303 British. Marked gr underneath a crown, BSA Co ,1915 shtle III* on the right hand side of the receiver. Rifle shows dark brown wood with minor Nicks and dings over the stock consistent with use and storage/handling. No major cracks or blemishes noted. Stock does have typical Arsenal repairs on the top handguard. Unit disc is blank on the right side of the butt stock. Metal surfaces show original finish which is thinning on the high points and is turning a light brown patina. Numbers matching on the receiver and nose cap the stock is not visibly numbered. The action and bolt move freely and smoothly with a nice crisp trigger pull. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. As with any military surplus firearm we recommend it be inspected by a gunsmith prior to use.
