News that there will be no more Marlins from the iconic New Haven factory is among the saddest we’ve heard. Here is one of Marlin’s most attractive variants of their tried-and-true Model 336 Lever Action, the 336 XLR chambered in the effective .35 Remington caliber. This is a half-tubed, magazine fed rifle length Marlin, 24 inch Micro-Groove stainless barrel with 5 + 1 magazine capacity. Construction is entirely stainless steel, with slot-in buckhorn traditional blue steel rear sight that is step adjustable for elevation; and hooded white dot blue steel ramp and blade front sight. Forend and buttstock are attractive, durable, weather-resistant laminate with cut checkering. Buttstock length of pull is 13 5/8 inches from the trigger face to the end of the one inch concave recoil pad. Forend band and buttstock are equipped with nickeled steel swivel studs. Receiver is 4-screw drilled for scope mounting, and factory blue steel hammer extension is included. Photos show one of only three specimens we were able to get. All of their serial number prefixes are 92; all of them produced in 2008. All of them are brand new in their boxes with all their papers. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
