Description: Here is a well maintained Italian Beretta model 81-W Cheetah whose career was spent protecting and serving the citizens of Israel with the Mishteret Y’Israel, the Israeli civilian police, in the Jerusalem District. It is necessarily marked with import markings, PW Arms, Redmond, WA, neatly on the right side of its slide. Italian Date Code is late 1970s / early 1980s made for the Israeli Police by Pietro Beretta in Gardone, Italy. The Israelis, by the way, have long respected the penetration qualities of the .32 ACP rounds, something Americans are only just now learning, since ammunition for that caliber is now available in high velocity European type loads. On this specimen of this rare pistol, surface detractions are only moderate amount of whitening on some of its sharp edges and sides of its slide; and extensilve moderate scouring on the original Italian walnut factory grip panels, as the photos show. We rate it as Very Good, since no more than 20 percent of its surfaces are affected by our estimate; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Factory specs are traditional double- and single- action semi automatic pistol – double action on a first shot from resting hammer position, then short-pull single action in the five pound range on subsequent shots. Ambidextrous frame-mounted safety lever is earlier style and does not de-cock the pistol. It can be carried, then, with safety on and hammer down for double action first shot, or with safety on and hammer fully cocked in single action mode. Trigger is .350 serrated face with overtravel stop, and .250 serrated rounded commander style hammer. The safe way to de-cock is to remove the magazine, remove the round from the barrel, and then let the hammer down with the trigger. The 81-W comes with firing pin safety, but no magazine safety like its Browning cousins. Frame is lightweight alloy. Barrel is 3 3/4 inch chrome lined, and it and the slide and internal parts are steel. Finish is blue on the steel parts, and black anodized on the alloy, same as the big brother 92-F. Sights are fixed post front and notched rear, drift adjustable for windage. Slide thickness is 1.062 inches; height is 4 3/4 inches from the top of the rear sight to the floorplate of an in-battery magazine. Maximum overall length is 6 5/8 inches; and weight empty is 24 ounces. The 81 Cheetah is one of the best pointing, accurate, and failure-free pistols there is; and we are in stock on plenty of .32 ACP ammo at prices close to what they were in 2008 before the election. Magazine capacity is 13+1. Replacement pricing on the similar 84-F .380 Pistols in our area is upwards of $800 apiece. We’re offering the distinguished Israeli-Italian 81-W .32 in the photos, however, for only $ 289.95. Special with extra factory magazine, $365 delivered with credit card or flat $358 delivered if payment is with USPS Money Order & not credit card. $229.95 with no magazines, but magazines are not readily available for these. Not transferable to civilians in California, District of Columbia, or Massachusetts. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Handguns: $10 flat fee lower 48 states; $30 to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
