From its P I date code, this Remington Nylon 66 was manufactured in June of 1988, during the waning days of the Reagan Administration and the waning days of production for this fine rifle. While over a million total Nylons were produced, this Black Diamond variant is scarcest only next to the highest prize of all, the Seneca Green. This one comes to us from one of our friends in Fayette County, Tennessee, and it has been stored well and fired only sporadically during its 22 years in existence. Surface scouring is minimal on the stock, principally on the right side; and the only metal wear we see is a faint amount of whitening around the edges of the muzzle. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We rate the rifle as Excellent, since we estimate that no more than 10 percent of its surface is affected by handling evidence.
