This pistol appears like-new with the brushed finish on the alloy frame and stainless steel slide rating excellent as does the one piece wraparound Xenoy grip. This gun features a curved backstrap, ambidextrous slide mounted decocker/safety, fixed 3-dot sights, serrated trigger, and a square triggerguard. Though marked model 459, the factory box with correct serial numbered on the end label calls the gun a model 4590 with a production code 104010. Supica’s Standard Catalog of S&W lists that production code under the model 5903 heading and notes an early version of the 5903 to have similar characteristics listed above. This is a great find for the S&W collector of a not so common transitional pistol that appears like-new and possibly unused. It comes with two 15 round magazines, cleaning kit, and manual all in its original S&W blue cardboard box.
