We have sold them now for almost 50 years. The only drawback to the Taurus Semi-Auto Pistols is the pricey-ness of their magazines. Like Mec-Gars, Taurus factory magazines free fall eject, lock the slide back like they’re supposed to, and most important, failure is unheard of. Mec-Gar, however, does not make magazines for Taurus’s 24/7 series, so we are stuck with factory mags. These are all new and unfired magazines, some of which we pulled out of brand new 24/7 pistols equipped with 10 shot magazines for shipment to states where the standard seventeens are okay for civilians. Some of these have been stored since 2004. Manufacturer is Forjas Taurus of Porto Alegre, Brazil. Importer is Taurus International of Miami. All these are blue steel construction to its body and spring, with black polymer cartridge follower and extended floorplate piece, a solid piece that prevents this magazine from being altered. Each magazine holds ten rounds of 9mm ammunition, seven fewer rounds than the standard issue 24/7 magazines. This one’s factory number is 524709, and the standard magazine’s number is 52470917. Any magazine deliveries into New York City require written permission from the Police Commissioner, so we cannot ship magazines into any of the six boroughs or 176 some odd zip codes, per NYC Code 10-131.10. Civilian residents of New York State are legally enjoined from loading more than 7 rounds into any magazine.
