This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. Here is Mossberg’s tried and true Model 500 Pump Shotgun chambered in 20 gauge, Turkey Thug Tactical variant. Don’t laugh. This shotgun is capable of sending 120 .24 caliber projectiles, read #3 Buck, out its muzzle at 1200 feet per second in five seconds, try that with a handgun or sub gun. Manufacturer is O.F. Mossberg & Sons, New Haven, CT. Type is pump or slide action shotgun. Construction is steel barrel, magazine tube, bolt, internal parts, and trigger, fitted in a light weight alloy frame. Stock and forend are graphite based synthetic. Barrel is 20 inch smooth bore Accu-Choke threaded, furnished with one .584 XX Full Choke Tube. Accu Choke tubes are the same thread as Winchester Winchoke® or Browning old style standard Invector, and they are readily available throughout the world. Chambering is 20 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch interchangeably. Sight system is a 9 post, .390 wide serrated top Ventilated Rib that sits 1/4 inch above the barrel at mid section. High Visibility Green Fiber Optic front sight, and dual red fiber optic rear make for a bright three dot sighting system. Rear sight is screw adjustable for elevation, with 3 position windage adjustment. Magazine holds 5 each 2 3/4 inch shells, or 4 each 3 inch shells, so 5+1 capacity on 2 3/4 inch. Safety is classic Mossberg tang mounted, southpaw friendly on its own, but the 3/4 inch right hand cant of the buttstock conspires against left hand shooters. Buttstock is M4 type 6 position collapsible, made by A Tech for Mossberg. Length of pull varies from 11 inches from the smooth face of the matte blue .275 steel trigger to the end of the factory 3/4 inch recoil pad, all the way out to a full 14 7/8 inch pull. Forend is stippled surface semi beavertail. Weight empty is 6 pounds 6 ounces, with center of gravity at the breech face. Finish is entirely Mossy Oak Camo, factory original. This specimen comes to us from light duty with Mossberg’s sales reps and writers, and trade show display at venues like the annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint amounts of handling wear or sticker stain, really no more than one commonly sees on many brand new guns on display in stores across the country. We rate this Mossberg as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. If this shotgun has ever been fired, it was fewer than 25 times.
