This rifle looks like a Remington no. 2 rolling block .22 cal rifle but was made by Crescent and were sold as the NEW YORK CLUB 1892 rifle in .22 cal. The 24" heavy round barrel with a fair bore, rifling but fouling, and some corrosion.Action works good and the American walnut stocks are good with the butt-stock having a grain crack on the left side, but not open and been there a long time. Crescent firearms were the largest gun maker from about 1870 to 1929 and were located in Meriden , Conn. this gun as an iron crescent butt-plate. The metal surfaces are a brown patina with the barrel blue that had turned dark!
