From the waning days of Smith & Wessons very aggressive foray into Gun Leather marketing comes this factory S&W marked, plain black lined concealment holster for that company’s metal frame compact pistols chambered in 9mm caliber. Manufacturer is Gould & Goodrich, under contract to their neighbor Smith & Wesson. Construction is semi gloss finish plain black leather with soft suede leather interior lining. Model is B29L / 469; made to fit Smith &Wesson models 469 and 669. Note the contour for the early type square trigger guards. This holster will also fit descendant models 6906, 6946, 3913, 3914, 3953 and similar compact metal frame pistols with bobbed hammers. It will accept a bobbed hammer full size 5900 or 4000 series Smith & Wesson, but of course the slide’s muzzle end will protrude on those 4 inch barreled pistols, since this holster was made to fit the 3 1/2 inch Compacts. Surface detractions are only moderate on this S&W holster, dye wear around the edges and some waviness to the black surfaces, as the photos show. Note the trigger guard contact fraying on the liner. We rate this holster as Very Good, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is eminently serviceable. It is also highly collectable. This particular holster served and protected our fellow Americans in Texas, Kansas, and Missouri during the career of our favorite retired Police Chief. If a person has a 469 or 669, and is interested in its collectability, this holster will serve as well as any blue box there is to enhance collector value. We’re offering it for only $ 45.00.
