SS# 89xxx From a mid-west estate sale a WWII Japanese Officer's Nambu Model 14 Pistol 8mm cal. The wood grips are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and only a few very light dents and dings they appear to be original to the gun (I have not taken the grips off as I don't want to damage them therefore I don't know if the grips are numbered)(see photos). The metal finish is also excellent with only the slighest wear on the sharp edges (see photos) all the numbers match except the clips. I am not a collector or an expert and know very little about this type of gun (therefore I took photos of every mark or stamp I could find on the outside of the gun but don't know how to take it apart). At the sale the only other information about the collection was that it was a WWII bring back by a friend of the family and that it had been in the family for a long time. This pistol has a excellent bore (I have not cleaned this gun) and appears to be in perfect working condition. The silk Japanese battle flag appears to be WWII correct (see photos). The magazine is not a reprint and has articles and photos about the war. The collection includes four war time photos and a army propaganda poster showing two officers using Nambus in battle. The binoculars have clear optics but have no markings however the leather binocular case has Japanese markings on a brass plate (see photos). The clip is in the same near new condition as the gun however the extra clip is in well used conditon but is still functional. The heavy leather holster is excellent quality with brass fittings but is obviously a post war manufacture. We trade guns. Satisfaction guaranteed.
