Tax time ... the 'toys' gotta go! I purchased this weapon many years ago from a family member who needed the money, and now it's my turn!
The gun appears to be in extremely good condition for its age. The Serial Number is 464131. I had a gunsmith disassemble the weapon for inspection, cleaning and any needed repair. He replaced the firing pin and reported that ALL assembly serial numbers matched and the internal condition is exellent! Being somewhat familiar with the Broom Handle, he appraised it at around $2000. I have it priced at about 1/2 of that for a quick sale! He says he doesn't believe it's been refinished ... just stored for many years. I have no way of attesting to that, so I'm just taking his word for it. While it's perfectly safe, I haven't fired it as I didn't want to risk devaluing the weapon.
The left side shows the Mauser banner. The right side has "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF ANECKAR" stamped into it. On the top of the barrel it has the Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf inscription. I believe the wooden 'holster' to be non-original, but again, I don't know for sure. The barrel is 3.9 inches long which likely means it is a post war Bolshevik (Bolo) model and it has a 1,000 meter adjustable sight. It has what appears to be walnut grips with the saddle ring on the bottom of the grip.
I'm estimating the shipping to be around $75. If it's less, I'll refund the difference. If it's more, I'll eat the difference.
