Serial number is either 1903 or 1904 depending on source. Letter says it left Winchester in 1906. The rifle is in great condition with no cracks in the wood or metal. In fine working condition with a very good bore and good action. It has a 21" octagon barrel, which may be factory, special order. There is no reference to barrel length on the factory letter. This model would normally have a 26" barrel. There is still quite a lot of finish left and it appears to have been well taken care of.
