Here is a reiteration of what we did a lot of back in the 1980s and early 1990s, a factory Smith & Wesson 5900 magazine outfitted with a Precision Gun Specialties grip adapter to fit the venerable 6906 or 6900 type Smith & Wesson Metal Frame Compact 9mms, as well as any of the 469 and 669 Smith & Wesson Mini Compacts. No One regards the 6900 Smith & Wessons more highly than we do, but their compactness renders them less than ergonomic for protracted firing sessions, especially for folks like some of us with hands like Gatemouth Brown’s. These outfits have always been popular with law enforcement officers who carry them for backup in tactical situations, like drug agents who use the 13-shot compacts and then have 15 round extra magazines. The base magazine is a stainless steel, third generation factory Smith & Wesson manufactured around 2002 to 2006 by our estimate. Construction is stainless body, orange polymer follower and replacement PGP floorplate and adapter. Most of these Magazines have ban period Law Enforcement marking. All of them are in Very Good to Excellent condition, and excellent mechanically. The adapters themselves are still manufactured by our old friends in Sheridan, Michigan, Precision Gun Specialties; and they are relatively easy to install. We just remove the floorplate, install the adapter sleeve, and then slide in the PGS replacement floorplate. It’s literally just a snap. We’re offering the adapters separately, each for only $ 15.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges.
