Description:
Here is an ordinary, unremarkable cheap German H. Schmidt Revolver, complete with pot metal frame, that provided recreational cover for one of our most distinguished citizens and soldiers. The Honorable Aaron P. Paul Hodges served as Sheriff in our little Tennessee county of Chester from 1998 until 2002. Before that, he served as Chief Deputy from 1976 until 1998. From 1968 until 1972, our Sheriff Hodges served in the U.S. Air Force. One of Staff Sergeant Hodges’s tasks was operating one of the M-60s on an HH-53 Green Giant Helicopter. His most notable mission was during operation Kingpin, better known as the Son Tay Raid in November of 1970. Ssgt. Aaron P. Hodges is listed in much of the available literature on that raid, and it’s a safe bet that he gets more than one US Flag on his grave marker in Memorial Gardens south of Henderson, Tennessee. This little German made H. Schmidt Revolver was typical of the cheap revolvers of the 1960s. It was in Sheriff / Sgt. Hodges’ tackle box when he died. As far as the revolver itself, Sheriff Hodges simply carried it in his tackle box. Its frame is damaged, as the photos show; cracked beneath where the barrel fits into the frame. It would do as a starter revolver shooting blanks, but it is NOT a shooter. Type is double and single action revolver, cylinder capacity 6 rounds of .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle ammunition; 2 3/8 inch steel barrel; brown plastic HS Grips, importer Eig Cutlery Miami. We estimate that this revolver was manufactured in 1960 to 1962 from its 2800 range serial number, but our records from that period are single cards, not bound books like our 1968 on records; we we will not accept a C&R on this revolver until we have better documentation. We’re offering this historic little cheap gun, however, for only $ 59.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $12 lower 48; $40 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
