This is a rare French military 1873 revolver,
in 11mmx17.8mm, & is one of the 1st double or single action rewvolvers made.this one is stamped S1883 which I believe is the year it was made. and serial # is J2432. these came with bare metal white finish, which is what this one has,& is a 6 shot,& this model was used by Brendan Fraser in movie The Mummy, &
used in many other movies & series-very unique gun, called the Chamelot-Delvigne & made by Manufacture D'armes De St Etienne & that is stamped on the frame,& has a lanyard loop,& gorgeous real ivory grips, that are stunning in person, compared to my photos that make them look more white.they have a creamy brownish yellowed color with lots of grain.this gun is around 130 years old & action works fine & loading gate also, has a 4 1/2" barrel & 6 shots. used by the French Army & military & some were even used in WWI
& they were made from 1873 to 1886. a very cool rare revolver for only $995.firm +$25.
