Manufacturer was Akkar Silah Sanayi Ltd. of Istanbul, Republic of Turkey. Importer was Samco Global Arms, Inc. / SGAI of Miami, the Charles Daly Importer from mid 2012 until 2015. From its 12 serial number prefix, this one was manufactured in 2012, a pre-Daly. Action is double slide bar pump shotgun, Benelli Nova type. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, trigger, magazine assembly, levers, and internal parts, built into a light weight alloy receiver, with Turkish Walnut stock and forend; and with polymer trigger housing assembly. Chambering is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably. Barrel is 29 7/8 inches, nominally 30 inch with muzzle threaded for Rem-choke tubes. Bore is standard diameter, non back bored, and chrome lined. Tube furnished is .698 diameter extended Improved Modified, that brings the barrel's length out to 31 inches. Sight system is .275 width serrated top, 9 high post ventilated rib, that sits .30 inch above the barrel at the lug. Front sight is Ray Bar type steel supported red fiber optic, that mates with a .11 brass mid bead for a figure 8 sight picture. Magazine tube is 13 inch open end with spring retainer, holds 5 rounds of 2 3/4 inch or 4 rounds of 3 inch 12 gauge shells interchangeably, 5 + 1 fully loaded capacity without any magazine adapter. Operators of Italian shotguns and their clones often figure out how to rest a ghost round on the shell carrier. The .240 smooth faced trigger pulls two stage at 7 pounds vicinity with moderate felt creep and overtravel. Safety is push button type, behind the trigger, set on right handed shooter, and gunsmith reversible. Forend is semi beavertail with cut checkered surface laterals. Buttstock is Monte Carlo trap type, with checkering on its wrist or pistol grip. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches from the trigger face to the end of the black lined 1 inch recoil pad. Stock drop is standard 1 1/8 at comb, 1 5/8 at the back of the cheek piece, and 2 1/8 inches at the heel with a full 1 inch right handed cant. Stock has molded checkered laterals on the pistol grip. Weight empty is 6 pounds, 15 ounces, with center of gravity at the chamber. Overall length is 51 inches with the extended tube. Finish is Matte Blued Barrel and Magazine Tube, with flat black anodized receiver; and with black polymer trigger assembly; and with satin chrome plated release button, trigger, bolt, handle, and shell carrier. Marking is electronically engraved on the barrel and inked on the receiver, with roll stamped serial number that usually affects the finish next to it. Surface detractions are negligible. We rate this Akkar Trap as Excellent Condition, perhaps Near Mint, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, threads, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We do not believe this shotgun was ever loaded or fired. Replacement pricing on charlesdaly com was upwards of $500.
