Description: Here is an almost complete set of Lincoln Cents from 1909 through 1972. The four missing coins, of course, are tough ones to get hold of, but the search is rewarding and enjoyable. Key coins missing are the 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, and 1922-P, the latter of which was an error coin anyway from the Denver Mint. As far as condition, this is an exceptionally nice set on the whole. 1909-S will only go Good, and it has been cleaned at some point. The key 1911-S has residue of heavy toning and has likely been cleaned at some point. 1912 has been cleaned, but probably grades very Fine. The semi-key 1912-D has a cracked die obverse, the ridge runs from Lincoln's coat edge to his hairline. Several of the early coins have undergone cleaning, but details are good enough to warrant at least Good grade by our estimate. Several of the coins on the first page, 1909 – 1924, will go Very Fine. The 1924-D is a cleaned specimen that was heavily toned before it was cleaned. 1910-S has moderate pecking on its obverse, but no bending. 1921 has a slight edge blem at 3 o'clock, and has been cleaned. Lettering is weak but legible on 1923-S. On page two, 1925 – 1939-D, the 1926, 1927, 1930, and 1936 specimens have been cleaned, but other coins' luster is original by our estimate, note the 1934, 1935, 1937, 19237-S, 1938 P D & S; and the 1939-S. 1939 may have been cleaned, but has AU details. The second page's key, of course, is the 1931-S. This specimen has XF details, but there are two small cracks on the obverse running from the 3 o'clock position inside the rim to Lincoln's collar. On the third page, 1940 – 1953,there is the appearance of luster, and indeed the details are sharp on all specimens on that page. The only ones, however, from 1940 through 1953-D that appear NOT cleaned are 1941-S, 1941-D, 1942, and Similarly, on the fourth page, the following coins have XF/AU details but appear cleaned: 1954 D&S; 1955; 1955-D; 1956-D/ 1957; 1957-D. All the others on that page with luster appear not to have been cleaned. We are including as many photos as possible, so that shoppers can at least check our grading. This set comes in an older Whitman folder with a 1958 copyright, and the folder is collectable in its own right. Complete sets command pricing of $1500 or more at present. We're offering this almost complete set, total of 168 Lincoln Cents 1909 – 1972, the one in the photos, for only $459.95. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
