When we get time, we will collect serial number ranges on the F.I.E., RG, and Excam pistols we sold from the 1950s through the 1980s. This Excam / Targa .25 Auto is one of the resurrected E 25 type pistols, imported straight from Italy until 1968, then manufactured in Miami and Hialeah beginning around 1970. Eig Cutlery, founded by Mr. Saul and Mrs. Lois Eig, imported tremendous quantities of cheaper handguns and were the principal importer for RG Revolvers; then, around 1971, the Eigs retired and F.I.E. came into existence. Excam was founded and run by our old friend Mr. Milton Koss until around 1986, and their fare was similar to FIE's. This is an Excam GT 27 B, Blue Finish, chambered in .25 ACP. These were good quality little pistols, vastly superior to the Raven/Jennings/High Point pot metal guns that shoved them off the market by the late 1980s. This is a pristine, little-used Targa confiscated in North Carolina, we are told. Surface detractions are minimal, only a faint amount of scouring to the backstrap area of the grip frame, but the finish is completely intact. We rate it as Excellent, since no more than 10 percent of its finish is affected by our estimate; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We doubt this Targa has been fired 50 times. Serial number on this one is M54000 range, and we estimate it was manufactured in 1982 or 1983. It is eminently serviceable and even collectable. Specs are single action semi-auto pistol, caliber .25 ACP, 2 3/4 inch barrel, 6+1 capacity, main safety lever that works opposite what we are used to; pot metal frame with steel Italian parts and walnut stained hardwood grip panels. We're offering this presentable little Excam .25 for only $ 139.00. Not transferable to civilians in California, District of Colombia, Massachusetts, or South Carolina. This is probably one of the first pistols affected by South Carolina’s Elitist Melt Law passed in 1983. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
