UP FOR AUCTION: New Colt Golden Spike Frontier Scout Commemorative 22 L.R. caliber 6 shot single action revolver. Brand new but old. Only made in 1969. 6 inch barrel, blue with gold trim being hammer, trigger, screws, loading gate, cylinder, cylinder pin, and ejector rod and housing. It has a Black Magic finish w/ gold pins, trigger, cylinder, hammer, etc. It has beautiful grips that have been made to mimic the feel of a railroad tie! Comes in very nice presentation case with carving on top of case (see pictures). Inside the case lid says The driving of the last spike and the meeting of the engines on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Point, Utah-culmination of a process that had required two centuries and a half. The continent was spanned. Gun is brand new never fired. Marked on left side of barrel Colt Single Action Frontier Scout .22 L.R. with a rampant Colt on left side of frame. On right side of barrel 1869-Golden Spike-1969. Marked on top of barrel Colt's Pt. Fa. Mfg. Co. Hartford, Ct. U.S.A. Case is lined in green velvet that includes a gold plated railroad spike that is stamped 1869--Golden Spike--1969.
