HG3560 Here is a very attractively updated specimen of the pistol that began the revolution in semi-auto handguns 25 years ago. There were reasons for that, and the reasons are evident on close inspection of this specimen of the 92FS Pistol. Until 1985 or so, Colt and Browning 9mms would not handle hollowpoints. Smith & Wesson 39 and 59 series pistols would, but the Smiths did not capture the market's imagination, perhaps due to the feel of the 59. Here was a pistol that looked good, felt good, and would handle sharp-nosed Federal and Smith & Wesson Hollowpoint ammo. It was, and is, extremely simply made, very easy to field strip and clean. This particular 92FS began its career some time in the mid to late 1990s, from its BER085000 range non-suffixed serial number, with the Prince George’s Maryland Police Department, and we got it and several of its mates in 2009 when the Department traded. Now, in some important respects, it is better than a new 92FS. The reason we say that, is that its finish is more durable even than stainless. Finish is Teflon & Magnesium coated, performed by Black Ice Coatings in Utah. This coating is impervious to wear and weather, and it makes an already smooth action even smoother. The only hint that this pistol is refinished, apart from its mid-1990s serial number range, is where the sight edges exhibit some surface wear and where there is some residual pre-finish scouring visible on the grip frame back strap strut. It is excellent in every other respect, on a par with the Sig CPO Pistols. Sights are three-dot raised combat refurbished. Action is traditional single- and double action, with lock-down, decocking ambidextrous safety levers mounted on the slide. Barrel is 4.9 inch chrome lined, and note that the guide rod is steel, not plastic. Sights are PGPD Armorer added Mepro light MP-3 Night sights, with excellent luminosity remaining, 70 percent strength by our dark room inspection. Capacity is 15 plus 1, and the pistol comes with a total of two new factory magazines. Grips are replacement Hogue panels, more comfortable and sure-gripping than the originals. Weight empty is a well-balanced, easy handling 33.4 ounces. Finish is matte black Teflon on the furniture and barrel; and Black Ice’s unique Brown Earth Tone Teflon on the slide and frame. We are furnishing it with a Gun Guard Case and California Compliant cable lock. Own the custom Black Ice Teflon 92FS in the photo for only $ 539.00. California, Chicago, D.C., Hawaii, Massachusetts, New York, or Puerto Rico, civilian buyers will receive two Mec-Gar 10 round Magazines instead of the new Beretta 15 rounders.

Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
