It is a very rare occasion when we get a used firearm of any kind and don't have to clean it. This one, however, belonged to one of our best old customers from Reagan, Tennessee; and he bought it new from us when Tennessee opened up its 2- to 3-week muzzleloader seasons in 1986 and 1987. It is a locally owned rifle, and it has been kept cleaned. Hunted with, yes, but cleaned religiously by an upstanding Baptist hunter. Stock is genuine American Walnut, and barrels is classic 26 inch Thompson / Center Renegade octagonal, 1 inch across the flats. This rifle is entirely original except for a red spot of paint on the rear of the blade front sight, and that will remove quite easily. Finish only has moderate handling wear; bluing, casehardening to the hammer and double set triggers, and semi-gloss finish to the walnut stock are strong throughout. We rate this Renegade as Very Good finishwise, since we estimate that 80 to 85 percent of its original finish is intact. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. Externally, we detect only one small area with superficial surface pitting on the outside of the barrel, right side flat near the rear rod thimble. In the bore, upon very close inspection with our trusty bore prism, there is a minimal amount of pitting, with less than ten percent of the bore affected, back a full 8 inches from the muzzle. There is a good eight inches of clean-as-a-whistle rifling from the bore back. Caliber, of course, is .50 with the versatile 1:48 right hand twist that is accurate with all forms of bullets, sabots, maxi-balls, or even patched round balls. The Renegades, sadly, are discontinued, and replacement pricing on a new Hawken is upwards of $600.00. We're offering this attractive, serviceable .50 Renegade with double set triggers for only $ 319.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
