Here is a very nice, very neat descendant of the Mauser Broomhandle pistols, the Czech Made VZ 61 Scorpion. Its direct parent is the Scorpion Machine Pistol, a key tactical piece for the Czech Interior Police. What the Czechs are better aware of than we Americans is the effectiveness of the .32 ACP round, among other things. This is the semi-auto variant of the machine pistol, specially designed for the US civilian market in compliance with BATF regulations. CZ decided, after the Brady Law's magazine restrictions expired in late 2004, to market this pistol with a total of two 20-round magazines and a third 10 shot mag. It is not for sale to destinations in California, Massachusetts, Hawaii, or any other jurisdiction where it is prohibited, or where pistols with magazines exterior to the grip or grip frame are prohibited. Barrel is 4.5 inches, with a 10.6 inch over all length. Masimum width is a relatively thin 1.8 inches. Weight is 3.00 pounds empty with 20 round magazine in battery. The entire receiver is specially made from Czech Steel Investment Castings. Replacement pricing on these is in the $800 range in our area, if a person can even find one. Own this excellent pistol, complete with a total of three magazines, holster, and magazine case for only $ 469.95. Not transferable to civilians in Aurora IL, Oak Park IL, California, Chicago, Connecticut, D.C., Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, or any other destination where prohibited or restricted. Freight paid but no 20 round magazines for civilian buyers in any other jurisdiction that restricts magazines to 10, 12, or 15 round capacity. This pistol is definitely not C&R Eligible.
