From what little research we’ve had time to do in our own records of new gun serialization, this pistol’s 47000 range serial number indicates it was manufactured in the late 1980s. We had 29000 range specimens new in 1986. This, of course, is a specimen of one of the most notorious little pistols every marketed in the United States. This is the Tec-22 Scorpion, a close approximation of the parent KG-9 and KG-99 Pistols later marketed as the Tec-9 chambered in 9mm caliber. This pistol is in its original box. F.I.E. imported some or the first specimens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, then the company opened its own offices in Miami. This pistol comes with its period correct Ram-Line 30 shot magazine. Even the factory marked Magazines, of course, were manufactured by Ram-Line for Intratec in Miami. The Tec-22 enjoyed only seven years of market viability before the Federal Magazine ban killed its key feature, its employment of Ruger 10/22 Magazines, in 1994. This specimen comes to us from the estate collection of our favorite Pennsylvanian. Specs are semi-auto blowback action rimfire pistol; Mauser broomhandle magazine well design that is separate from the grip frame and thus not transferable to civilians in many jurisdictions of these United States; stamped steel slide mounted on high impact polymer frame; four inch two-piece steel barrel; sliding main safety mounted on the right hand side of the frame; winged post front sight and winged black blade rear sight; weight empty 34.2 ounces with no magazine. Note that its late owner outfitted this pistol with a barrel mounted laser sighting device, and we suppose it is zeroed in and operable but we have not tested it nor do we intend to. Surface detractions are only Moderate, this pistol has some weathering evidence on the left side of its slide and some discoloration as the photos show. It is excellent mechanically; it fires perfectly with a BX-1 Ruger Magazine and most of the time but somewhat sporadically with the factory 30 rounder and the enclosed Eagle 30 rounder. Even though several companies have made the extension 10/22 magazines, none of them are anywhere near as reliable as a plain old Ruger BX-1. This pistol is consecutively numbered to our #HG5539, its somewhat weathered mate. We’re offering it for only $ 329.95. Not transferable to civilians in Aurora IL, Oak Park IL, Akron OH, California, Chicago, Cleveland OH, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Columbus OH, Dayton OH, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Toledo OH, or any other jurisdiction where prohibited or restricted. Freight paid but only the 10 round Magazine for civilian buyers in Hawaii, Maryland, South Bend IN, or any other jurisdiction where the pistol is permitted but the 30 round magazines are not.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
