Type is traditional double and single action revolver with internal transfer bar safety device. Construction is stainless steel barrel, cylinder assembly, and frame with steel hammer, trigger, and internal parts. Frame is K medium square butt. Barrel is one piece heavy 4 inch with 1:18.75 five groove right hand rifling. Sights are barrel integral 1/8 inch serrated ramp front on solid rib, with frame integral fixed notch rear. Trigger is factory satin finish .312 smooth faced combat style, with matching .265 serrated spur service width hammer with hammer nose firing pin ignition. Cylinder capacity is 6 rounds of .38 Special standard or +P high performance ammunition. Overall length is 9 1/2 inches; cylinder diameter is 1.465 inches; height is 4 3/4 inches. Weight empty is 36 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger. Grips are distinctive, original issue Michael’s K Square Boot Grip. Finish is brushed stainless with matte sight surfaces. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally the hand scribed SX1 marking on the side plate. Apart from that, it only shows faint contact buffing and scouring.
