For Shot Show 2016, Aguila Ammunition is set to introduce the company’s full lineup of shotgun shells to the U.S. market. You may be thinking to yourself, aren’t a few of the Aguila loads available now? Technically you would be right. We have seen Aguila shotgun ammunition in the country in limited amounts. Think of that as a sample of what is to come.

We’re talking skeet, trap, sporting clays, pigeon loads, buck shot, and more Aguila Mini Shells. Aguila is expanding their offerings in 12-, 16- and 20-gauge, and .410 bore in standard and high velocities.

I am writing a book on the .22 (LR mostly) and have accumulated over 80 varieties of .22LR cartridges from every major manufacturer. I LOVE AGUILA! My test rifles are mostly various CZ-452 (or clones: BRNO, Norinco, Mansoura). The Interceptors give me a chronographed true mv of 1,475 ft/sec and a 50 meter 5 shot group never larger than 0.75″ but often much better! The CZ-452 test rifles have a barrel length of 23.6″ (660mm). I also have been impressed with many other Aguila .22 varieties and especially like the 60gn SSS at a quiet (920 ft/sec). This SSS shoots reliably in my Walther TPH and hits hard! I have NEVER had any FTF problems with Aguila rimfire because I keep my chambers clean. This is most important in semi-autos! Operators – dont blame the ammunition when you fail to maintain your equipment! Im happy to chat with anyone interested in Aguila rimfire, ([email protected])

32 S&W ammo fits too tight in my speedloaders, won’t eject them properly, no problems with the 9mm ammo, and 22 ammo works as good or better than Remington or Winchester ammo.

My personal experience with this ammo is not very favorable. Purchased 500 rds of 30 carbine. All seemed well for the first few rounds, then, misfire. Found a very light dimple in the primer as if the rifle was at fault. I have several carbines on hand, so new hammer spring and back out. Same result. Switched to some of my reloads and shot 4 magazines (60 rds) flawlessly. Further investigation found that approx. 20 rds out of every 100 had the cases trimmed .100 under. Since 30 carb headspaces on the case mouth, problem identified. I pulled over 400 rds apart and discarded the cases. Very expensive way to purchase bullets for reloading, but lesson learned. Aguila ammo, not recommended …

Aguila is First Class ammo. I am glad that they are increasing .22 rimfire production even more to help fill the apparently never-satisfied US demand. I hope they are very profitable. Maybe some US ammo company should add an offshore factory.

I agree Willie , I wish all companies would produce more .22 cause if we hit another 2013 situation and we will at some point we wont see any for years again.
