With the upcoming Modular Handgun System trials looming, Beretta has made a surprise addition to their M9 family. The M9A3 is an overhauled M9, and it looks like a solid gun. I had the chance to talk to Beretta’s Vice President of Military Marketing and Sales about the new M9A3, and the role Beretta intends for the new gun, and it has nothing to do with the upcoming trials. But the M9A3 just might shake things up.

The upcoming Modular Handgun Trials may determine a replacement for the M9. What will FNH sumbit for the trials? They’ve got options. And if the FNX-45 Tactical is any indication, whatever they submit is going to be a contender.

“These sentencings are the result of the enduring resolve by law enforcement to protect victims of violent crime,” said Assistant Director in Charge McCabe. “Because this crime scene was so large and required international travel, both by witnesses and by investigators, this case required a tremendous amount of resources, time and investigative expertise. The results of this case demonstrate that the FBI will investigate violations of U.S. law no matter where they occur in order to bring justice to innocent victims.”

Probably one of the dumbest and most ironic laws on the books is the ban on concealed carry at military bases and installations. The reason it’s so stupid is quite obvious. Firearms are the essential tools soldier use to protect us from terrorists, despots, and foreign armies. And the U.S. Military goes to great lengths to ensure that every solider is proficient with a firearm. Yet, for whatever reason, the government doesn’t trust soldiers with guns when they’re not training, at a military gun range or in a combat zone.

“To address concerns of Texas citizens and ensure that Texas communities remain safe, secure and informed about military procedures occurring in their vicinity, I am directing the Texas State Guard to monitor Operation Jade Helm 15,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
