Comedy Central Takes Swipe at Gun Owners in New Special

Authors S.H. Blannelberry

Jokester Jordan Klepper is going to “solve guns” in his new one-hour special set to air on June 11 at 10:00 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.

“Over the course of this special, I selflessly let people on all sides of the gun debate be interviewed by me, and I was consistently surprised by how much common ground they shared,” said Klepper, in a press release.

“This special isn’t just about America’s relationship with guns — it’s about how needlessly toxic the debate around that issue has become,” he added. “Also, doing my part to bring the country together, I show my ass on television.”

Obviously, I have yet to watch the special but based on what I saw in the teaser video (see below) it appears to be nothing more than a hit-piece on the gun community.

I’ll refrain from making a final judgment on the show until I actually watch it but it doesn’t bode well when the clips show him at the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits asking attendees, “What was your favorite shooting from 2016?” or “This [NRA conventions] is like Comic-Con but for death.”

Now if he was serious about bringing the two sides together to bridge the gap and engage in constructive dialogue he wouldn’t have taken potshots at gun owners. I get that he is trying to bring some levity to the topic but there’s just nothing funny about insinuating that gun owners embrace mass killers and murderers.

For once it would be nice to see the host of one of these specials not suffer from contempt prior to investigation, to see a host who actually had an open mind about gun ownership in America.  Who knows, maybe Klepper sees the light at the end of the show.  I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

Oh, and for those of you who think these shows don’t matter, I’d argue that they do.  A nontrivial percentage of youngsters watch Comedy Central.  Heck, not only do they watch comedy central but they get their news from that network. At one point, 12 percent of Americans said they got their news from “The Daily Show.”

To dismiss this special as just fluff for the snowflakes is missing the point.  The youth of this generation will determine the gun politics of the next.  If the 2A is to survive, the gun community has to reach that younger audience and ensure that it gets the other side of the story.

Have you noticed that some of the Idiots from these shows are so bad as comedians that they have to use gun owners as their subjects. Have no other material? It’s a matter of fact. Trying to make it but just can not do it. Sad. They may have to find another job. Maybe something useful! I know most of them are young and strong as well as stupid and can carry a policeman on their back for protection!!! I am older and find it easier on my back to carry old Sam Colt. And as long as I can I will.

Easy Peasy! Just find out who the companies who are advertising during this show, Email them and inform them you will no longer be purchasing their products. Enough of us start doing this, and we will see a wind change soon enough. Money talks, BS walks. Let’s send ’em on a long stroll, shall we?

Jordan Klepper is just another in a long line of assholes from Comedy Central who want to choose our civil rights for us.
As far as “what was your favorite shooting of 2016,” it’s difficult to say. Lots of people were shot who needed to be shot. How can I pick just one?

Meanwhile, someone else just showed how dangerous cars and trucks are in densely populated cities. With Bill de Blasio running New York, it’s debatable that if this week’s incident had been intentional vehicular homicide, that we’d never know.
“Mr. Klepper! What was your favorite mass vehicular homicide of 2016? That one in Sweden, or the one in Berlin?”

This (PERSON?) Jordan Klepper is so ignorant it ain’t funny. The problem is that a person like this gets all the TV air time he wants, Pro gun people seem to not be able to buy air time at any price.
He is at the N.R.A. event trying to put words and innuendos in the peoples mouths like asking the guy what shooting event he thought was the best and trying to make it look like the guy was saying “A MASS KILLING” when the guy was talking about a target shooting competition.

Just one more anti gun leftist pussy punk.

Make no mistake- Jordan Klepper is just another smug anti-gun douche. He enjoys making fun of gun culture, and this isn’t the first time I’ve seen him do it. If he says or does anything that appears to be “fair” or “balanced” on the subject, it’s just to give the illusion of impartiality.

Klepper is like all anti 2nd A advocates. He wants the banning of all firearms. If you read the documents from the UN and read what the anti gunners really want, they want nothing short of total elimination of firearms. They use the ploy of suckering in people who would like some small form of firearms regulation and they use their statements, twisting them out of context to make it appear most people agree with them.

In the case of Klepper, he is assuming the above as his basis for saying, people want to work together, having common grounds. In reality he is only trying to garner support so he and the ant 2nd A people can then implement even more restrictions. They call this compromising as long as they can continue to pass one anti 2nd A law at a time, and at any level. Once you say no, regardless to where your personal beliefs are on controls, then you automatically become pro gun and their opposition.

Gotta remember, compromise does not mean constantly or even once reconsidering a past compromise. To do so only shows their real intent.

There’s no common ground with Jordan Klepper (and his bosses, which ultimately include Shari and Sumner Redstone, the top-ten DNC donors whose National Amusements owns CBS and Comedy Central’s corporate parent, Viacom). They don’t want just gun control, but to control every single thing we do. That’s why the liberals are furious with Donald Trump – he took away the regulatory levers with which they were relieving us of our civil rights, one by one.

The Second Amendment doesn’t just guarantee the right to keep and bear arms. It’s the very least popular civil right guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, so we can look at it as a gauge of how easy it is for Big Government to steal ALL of our freedoms. The First Amendment, for example. In all the argument over the rights of gays to marry, the liberals have quietly been winning court cases compelling churches to rent their property for such marriages – a clear First Amendment violation, because the government is prohibited from taking actions regarding religion.

And while the Fourth Amendment is misused by liberals to create a “penumbra” under which abortions are legalized (in Roe v. Wade), its conventional purpose was flouted with extreme prejudice by Obama’s hold-overs in the US intelligence community who invaded the privacy of the Trump campaign team in order to create the impression of non-existent Russian control of the Trump administration. How were they able to do this? Because the NSA and the other three-letter agencies routinely and illegally read our mail, their protestations to the contrary.

Liberals are all for civil rights until they aren’t for them.

Well, we ALL know just what side the toxicity in this debate comes from, and here he is, adding poison to the water himself.
I wonder if this fool knows the definition of ‘hypocrisy’???

Worst thing you can do for these morons is lend legitimacy to their lunacy. I was going to post this story on Twitter, but then said to myself: “Why publicize it?”. Suffice it to say that 80% of all gun homicides are committed by Drug-Dealing Inner City Gangs of 14-21 year olds (according to CDC&P); that these cities, and even other “Blue” Democrat-controlled cities lead the country in gun homicides, even when located in a “Red State”; that even studies like that of Greg Ridgeway, PhD, acting Director of the USDoJ’s National Institute of Justice, completed 4 Jan 2013, have DEBUNKED the anti-2nd Amendment Crowd’s mantras (“Summary of Select Firearm Violence Prevention Strategies”); that poverty nor race are the underlying cause of gun violence- see Haiti, almost 100% Black, one of the most miserably poor countries in the world, yet their gun homicide rate is far below that of the great majority of nations in Latin America, and even the world! Difference is that FAMILY VALUES, FAMILY & RELIGION are strong in Haiti compared to Blue Inner-City America, where there is a war on religion except for Islam, which is encouraged by Left Wing Democrats! Go figure. The one religion that produces the great majority of violence & terrorists in the world endorsed by Left Wing Democrats!

I love your optimism but look at the shirt he’s throwing at people and you will see his position is hardly a mystery. He will be interviewing the average person and asking questions out of context in order to make them look stupid. Nothing remotely unbiased, just another feeble attempt to get people to watch a useless TV show. We have officially bottomed out of creativity in the entertainment industry.
