The situation is worsening for Will Hayden, the proprietor of Red Jacket Firearms and the star of Discovery Channel’s popular television program “Sons of Guns.”
Following his second arrest for the alleged sexual abuse of his 12-year-old daughter, Discovery Channel and Red Jacket Firearms parted ways with the embattled gunsmith.
“Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of ‘Sons of Guns’ and cancel the series,” Discovery said in a statement to Fox 411.
Red Jacket Firearms LLC. posted on its website that it “has initiated and received full legal separation as an entity, from William M. Hayden.”
Going on to say that, “With heavy hearts, we will be continuing to operate and ensure the fulfillment of new customer orders, back orders and to provide support to those affected by these new developments. WE are the Heart and Soul of Red Jacket and will remain steadfast in our committment [sic] to quality and our customers, for years to come.”
On Aug. 9, Hayden was arrested and charged with molestation of a juvenile and aggravated crimes against nature. After posting a $150,000 bond he was released from jail. Hayden denied the allegations, telling TMZ that it was the machinations of a disgruntled ex-wife who was out to smear his reputation.
However, Hayden was arrested once again and booked on Wednesday for child rape. According to investigators, the alleged victim claims that she was raped “almost daily,’ since March of 2013, and that she didn’t say anything because Hayden told her, “don’t tell them nothing because I’m all you got.”
Hayden’s bond is set at $250,000. His attorney has yet to comment on the latest developments.
