Father of Oregon Shooting Victim Explains Why He Won’t Visit With Obama

2nd Amendment – R2KBA Authors Current Events S.H. Blannelberry This Week

Before we get to the story, question: Would you visit with Obama if he wanted to visit with you?

If I’m answer honestly, I’d say that I would visit with the president… so I could look him dead in the eye and tell him that this country has gone to hell under his watch.

Actually, I don’t think I’d have the chutzpa to do that. But I probably would meet him just so I could say I met a living president. Then again, maybe I wouldn’t meet him. I guess I don’t know how I would respond to the invite, which would certainly depend upon the circumstances.

To the matter at hand, the father of a shooting survivor at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, spoke in an interview on Fox’s “The Kelly File” and explained why he is not going to meet with the president this Friday as he makes his visit with the victims and their families.

“On principle, I find that I am in disagreement with his policies on gun control, and therefore, we will not be attending the visit,” said Stacy Boylan, the father of Ana Boylan, who was shot in the back and is now recovering from her wounds.

Mr. Boylan brought up the issue of gun control and how it creates target rich environments for evildoers.

“My daughter said to me, ‘What if somebody would have had a gun?’ Gun-free and gun control takes that option off the table,” Boylan stated. “I don’t think that’s the right course.”

Undoubtedly Boylan is right with his assessment, which makes me wish that he would go talk to Obama and tell him directly how he feels. You’ll recall how cavalierly Obama dismissed, in his speech following the shooting, our belief that embracing and not curtailing the one’s individual right to keep and bear arms is the best way to keep one safe from mass killers.

“And what’s become routine, of course, is the response of those who oppose any kind of common-sense gun legislation,” said Obama. “Right now, I can imagine the press releases being cranked out: We need more guns, they’ll argue. Fewer gun safety laws.”

“Does anybody really believe that?” questioned the president imperiously. “There are scores of responsible gun owners in this country –they know that’s not true. We know because of the polling that says the majority of Americans understand we should be changing these laws — including the majority of responsible, law-abiding gun owners.”

Well, for what it’s worth Mr. Boylan appears to be a responsible and law-abiding gun owner and he believes that gun-free zones are counterintuitive to public safety and downright dangerous. Now I respect Mr. Boylan’s right to do what’s in the best interest of his family, and I totally don’t blame him for not seeing POTUS, but part of me also wishes he would confront Obama and give him the dose of reality on this issue that he so desperately needs.

Don’t waste your time meeting with pos-potus, do you really think he would suddenly “see the light” about the error of his ways? And opening your mouth would put you on his hit list, every agency will have you lo-jacked. Just prepare and protect your family, don’t spill honey and you won’t attract flys

anyone who starts off saying how the country has gone to hell under this current president is either just ignorant or worse, someone blinded by hate which is worse because that blind hate is steroids for government to grow.

Get a clue, government is and has always been highly inefficient and grossly abusive of power and deliberately so in order to give the people the incentive they must have to not empower it, even that isn’t enough because hate is to powerful a master.

No government has ever been empowered when the people under it love their neighbor, but enormousness freedom killing governments have always been empowered when people hate their neighbor. This current president/government is the fruit from the tree people planted and provides a necessary service, it chops off the limbs of our body to keep the gangrene from killing the whole body, that’s the sole function of government, to give the people so bent on destroying themselves time to change. Like a diabetic who refuses to do what they must, we yell at the crappy doctor who hacks off the dead limbs blaming them for being over us when we knew without a doubt the limbs would die and that crappy doc would be the one with the rust knife.

Government isn’t the answer to the people’s problems, it’s incarceration of freedom for the people’s sins. Every time someone uses their freedom to infringe upon another’s for personal gain, government is empowered to kill that freedom for all. Been going on for more than 2 centuries here and since freedom always demands equal justice for all the demand to pay for the sin of abortion will be just as large as the atrocity committed.

Fear not, as we are paying for the sins of generation before us, future generations will pay the price for abortion and since we don’t care about those around us why should we care about people who haven’t been born yet?

The answer has always and forever shall be “love your neighbor”. That and only that is the answer to reducing governments strangle hold on freedom, not government or anyone in it.

Well Mr. Blannelberry, you’ve probably never heard the axiom “Never try to teach a pig to sing, as it wastes your time and annoys the pig.”
President Obama knows what the counter-arguments are, and has remained anti-gun anyway. Obviously facts do not matter to him. But what can you expect from a man that signed a law depriving Americans abroad to their right of Due Process? He swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and then did not uphold it. I would not invite him over to my house, nor would I go to his.

No one should show up when he arrives….

I agree with the proposed conundrum. Would love to tell that moron he’s not worth my time and to stick it where the sun don’t shine…..at the same time, I’d love to have the few hours it would take to give him a few pieces of my mind on some subjects. However, I’m afraid actually meeting with him would result in my passion being misconstrued as physical threat, thereby culminating in my being hauled off in handcuffs and never seeing the light of day again. So…….I would probably choose option 1. Better safe than sorry in this case….lol
