Gas station gunfight leaves two robbers dead, good guy wounded

A store clerk at a gas station in Canton, Ohio, did what he had to do to protect himself and his workplace from three armed gunman on Monday night.

Canton Police said three robbers entered the Marathon Gas Station at approximately 9:25 p.m., wearing masks.

Upon entering the store they opened fire on the clerk, shooting him in the legs.

The clerk, who was carrying a firearm, pulled his weapon and fired back at the suspects, hitting at least two out of three while sending them all running for their lives.

Two of the suspects, 23-year-old Antonio Gracia and 21-year-old Ronnie Lawson were fatally wounded in the shooting. They were transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

The third suspect is still on the loose.

Meanwhile, neighbors in the area voiced support for the gun-toting clerk.

“He’s a good guy, he’s always looking out for everybody,” Clarence Harris told local news affiliate WKYC. “I say, God bless him and thanks for protecting the neighborhood.”

Another neighbor, a woman who identified herself as “Helen,” said, “He’d do anything for anybody. He grew up in this neighborhood… I think it’s justified.”

Anyone who pulls a gun in a robbery should know that they will be a target of anyone lawfully carrying a firearm, and will most likely get shot and or die. That is what happens when these punks try to steal money from honest, hard-working people. Also, anyone who doesn’t do exactly what the police tell them to do should know that they could be shot. These policemen want to go home to their families without taking a chance of someone shooting them. They are completely justified in shooting anyone who won’t listen to their commands and who the officer believes is a threat. We have to have law and order!! Vote for Donald Trump, The law and order candidate.

I would like to personally thank the store clerk for his valor in this case. Being a resident of Ohio, not only did he save his own life. This selfless individual also made our State a little safer for all. He also unknowingly saved the tax payers a lot of money, that would have been wasted on public defenders, court procedures and incarceration. Once again hats off to this law abiding, tax paying and civilized individual. One can only hope that this incident will further reduce criminal acts in the future.

Score one (or two) for the good guys! This is EXACTLY why concealed or even open carry should be allowed for ANY law abiding citizen ANYWHERE!!

If the thieves want to play rough and loot and rob then it is up to us to let them know that they may
have to suffer the consequences. Police cannot be everywhere. If Chicago and DC had carry laws,
guaranteed that crime rates would drop significantly. I am a retired Chief and I carry all the time.
Criminals don’t have a conscience and if on drugs they join the ranks of the worthless and unworthy.

These clerks take their lives in their own hands and should have a bullet shield at the counters and on their chest . Thank the Lord that he was able to return fire. Ending a life is no fun, but when it is in the defense of one’s own life Hooah! God bless him ! God Bless Armed America !!

Having worked in a service station as a youngster, you never know who will run or walk through that front door. Always be ready for the unknown. A job well done & hopefully the owner will step up to the plate & dispense some coin for med. bills and anything else that he needs.

Good job on the clerks behalf, two gone and the other maybe dead in the bushes so the animals can have a meal, hope they don’t get sick.

Guy would have been dead had he not been carrying. What a world we now live in…cowards come in firing first with no thought for other’s lives. I hope the hero recovers well and I further hope his employer steps up and pays his medical bills. And, hooray, another couple of losers off the street.
