Hillary on Church Shooting: ‘How many do we need to see cut down before we act?’

Hillary Rodham Clinton addressed the church shooting in Charleston, S.C., on Thursday, doing her best to sound presidential (she is running after all) and to rally the cry for rolling back the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

“In order to make sense of it, we have to be honest,” said Clinton. “We have to face hard truths about race, violence, guns and division.”

Clinton, who was on the campaign trail, was speaking at the annual convention of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials.

“Today we say to the families of Mother Emmanuel and to all the people of Charleston, you do not walk alone,” Clinton said. “You do not walk alone because millions of Americans regardless of race or creed or ethnicity or religion are walking with you — in grief, in solidarity, in determination, we are with you. And we will stand with you as we seek answers and take action.”

Clinton added, “How many innocent people in our country — from little children, church members, to movie theater attendees — how many people do we need to see cut down before we act? So as we mourn and as our hearts break a little more, and as we send this message of solidarity that we will not forsake those who have been victimized by gun violence, this time we have to find answers together.”

By “answers” she, of course, means passing laws that heavily restrict gun ownership even though that will do nothing to reduce gun violence or prevent mass shootings.

“The shock and pain of this crime of hate strikes deep,” she said. “Nine people – women and men – cut down at prayer, murdered in a house of God. It just broke my heart.”

“how many” self defense uses of a weapon have to happen before people get the message? Oh wait. THOSE don’t make the headlines. Heavens no-oh.
Besides, it wouldn’t make any difference. Gun control isn’t about safety any more than rape is about sex. It’s about control. An armed populace is harder to control. When only the government is armed, then they have the last word.

I didn’t send the sick, little bastard.
    I didn’t lend him my G21 or G30.
He and his killings have nothing to do with my weapons.
Give yours’ up if you want.
Keep your plans, hands, and eyes off mine.

Multiple murder + captured suspect + confession + charges = pending trial and verdict. Now we bury the dead, celibrate their lives and morn their loss. Time to move on. Oops forgot the inanimate tool that was use. He was charged for using a gun too. We have laws for all of it. Nice tidy package. Everyone is getting Justice. But the gun grabbers are not happy unless their trying to get another pound of flesh from law abiding firearms owners brcause Root chose to use a gun. What if he did not have a gun and used his car to run into one of the mass protests that were wide spread. The loss of life and injuries could have been much much higher. Cars have been delibertly used to kill and maim before and crowds have not been spared either. No screams for new car or operator laws because it was a deliberate act using the vehicle as the weapon. Firearms like vehicles can be used for legal and illegal activies, it is the user of both that decides. A firearms are tools used by millions of legally by Americans every day as is their Right. To penalize the Citizens bey eroding their their Rights based on that actions of a few criminals is clearly an attempt at Group Punishmenttowards every gun owner. Politicians and anti gun organizations should be heavily criticized for exploiting these mass mudrer events as a means to undermine the Rights of the innocent. They wait like vutures circling, looking, for the next firearms fatility to feed upon and spew their agenda. Hillary has rejoined the flock.
