Kalashnikov USA manufacturer of Kalashnikov style firearms, proudly announce that the new American Kalashnikov models are now available through Acusport, Big Rock Sports, Bill Hicks, Ellett Brothers, RSR, Sports South and others.

“We have made good on the promise delivered at SHOT Show, to provide our customers with a quality product at a competitive price by the second quarter of this year,” Thomas McCrossin, CEO of Kalashnikov USA said.

Under the new banner “Russian Heritage — American Innovation,” the new US models are built on the classic AK 47 rifle and shotgun platforms with a focus on designing firearms for the American shooter using the latest manufacturing technologies. New features on the Kalashnikov USA models include a nitrocarburized case hardening on barrels and chambers to extend life and provide a high corrosion resistance. Also, the barrels have been threaded to accept muzzle breaks and suppressor systems. The bolt and bolt carrier have been enhanced for a smoother action, and an integrated hold open feature has been added to the safety lever.

“Our customers will be pleased with the quality of our American weapons and our new designs,” Bill Silver, VP of sales for Kalashnikov USA added. “American innovation has provided a better weapon at a better price.”

After reading about the new Kalashnikov USA on guns America I’ve been looking on line and not much info on availability or price. Is there any word on when they will be available my wife would like an AK so I though why not buy an American built one for her for Christmas. Nothing says I love you like buying your spouse a weapon.

You just register and contact the seller directly. We don’t sell anything.

I got a Saiga carbine #3 before our constitutional lawyer in chief made it illegal to import them. The rifle has no muzzle brake, no carry handle, no bayonet lug, no vertical handgrip, and no adjustable or folding stock. This makes that rifle legal to sell in the people’s republic of New York, as the rifle is sold with a ten round magazine. My rifle is a ton of fun to shoot, the Russian ammo is cheap, and the price of the gun was low. I recommend the Russian version of this gun highly, reliability and ease of reassembly is justly famous and the proven cartridge, 7.62X39, is just right (low recoil and report, but good power). I hope the US made piece is at least as good.

I’d be interested in the one in their catalog with the traditional wood furniture, but with no pricing anywhere on their site it’s kinda hard to take them seriously.

Why not just make a classic AK design? I hate those tacticool AKs with eight miles of rails. And the “sporter” ones are even worse.

I have a hard time taking any manufacturer seriously when their press release betrays that they don’t know that the thing on the muzzle is a “brake,” because it helps slow rise. It is not a “break.” If they don’t understand the functional nomenclature, I doubt any real innovation.
