Kendall Jones Talks About Killing the Big 5

Authors S.H. Blannelberry SHOT Show 2015

Our friend, photojournalist Ben Philippi from Guns.com had a chance to interview avid hunter Kendall Jones and her bestie/partner-in-crime Taylor Altom at SHOT Show 2015.

Among other topics of conversation, the ladies discussed killing the big five: an elephant, a leopard, a lion, a cape buffalo and a rhino.

Kendall also talked about shooting a hippo, a crocodile, an ibex and a brown bear. Meanwhile, Taylor also talked about bagging a mountain lion.

You can watch the ladies on their youtube show called “Game On.”

Where they went wrong is not that there teens with guns because by all means teach your kid how to handle a fire arm. Not that there hunters because we all need to eat. Its that there killing endangered species. Thats where they went wrong and have so many people outraged. I know thats why I am!

  • Fro February 6, 2015, 11:27 am

What is truly sad is your head first leap into ignorance.
The passage states, ” Thou shalt not ‘MURDER’ . And this was in regards to humans murdering humans. There IS a time to kill. The Bible also gives humans dominance over animals and we are to do with them as we will. They are here for our use.
If you are going to quote from the Bible, you should try to at least know a little bit about it.
Your kind tries to stifle these hunters and what they do within the law, but you probably are also quietly wishing that Brittany Spears would go on a world tour again. (Now THAT would be a tremendous waste of resources.)
    NUFF SAID

…it’s true once a man hunter always a man hunter. There is no honor in it, just money. I’m a hunter old school veteran when the animals shot bavk at you.
You wanna compare varmints to elephant? We don’t have an debate cause you can’t argue with stupid.
You wanna thrill kill? Sign up with the Kurdish army and go hunt ISIS I hear they’re big fans of BBQ these days.
don’t buy into these morons, it’s all about the money and I wouldn’t teach my kids this bullshit.

  • Chad February 5, 2015, 9:32 pm

I shot a cow with a bazooka. I’m not proud of it, but I did it!!!! I can’t wait for the bald eagle to come off the list.

    This girl is nuts.

  • Gary February 5, 2015, 8:08 pm

All those people saying. “Unless you eat it don’t shoot it,” How many of you have shot groundhogs and prairie dogs, and ate them? I have no desire to trophy hunt but if She likes to, that’s her business, not yours. Good Luck Ladies.

  • Ron February 5, 2015, 7:06 pm

This is just my opinion. It’s totally wrong to hunt for blood sport. You can tell me all you want about it’s “legal” or it’s “conservation” but in the end it’s all about the money. You can twist it any way you want but it doesn’t make it right. Remington will never see any of my money because you are sanctioning blood lust and you deserve to go out of business for condoning this type of hunting. It’s so sad to see the amount of ignorance we have in this world. Flame away douche bags.

I see a lot of negativity from supposed pro 2 amendment supporters regarding taking the big 5 and it makes me Sick (Its CONSERVATION you Idiots) The problem is LIBERAL PETA IDIOTS PUSHING THERE BRAIN DEAD IDEAS ON FREE THINKERS

  • Shot in the foot... February 5, 2015, 7:03 pm

From Guns America – News and Reviews:
“Among other topics of conversation, the ladies discussed killing the big five: an elephant, a leopard, a lion, a cape buffalo and a rhino.”

I find myself somewhat all over the board in this discussion. First, I am a strong believer in the right to possess firearms. And I fully understand that all of us who consume meat or wear or use leather products are directly or indirectly responsible for a certain amount of killing by creating the demand. (Although if I had the strength of character and dietary will at my late age, I would prefer to not be responsible for any killing, but I don’t.) I also believe that everyone has a right to their opinion – so here’s mine.

When I came across this video at the Guns America website, what I, and I think a few others, found most disturbing was the joy that some seem to find in the actual killing. It’s no secret that these big game kills are purely for enjoyment. Animal populations can be managed in other less commercial ways, there is typically no more sport in this than hunting at your local zoo, and if your goal is to feed the locals, there are obviously more financially efficient ways to do so.

Once you remove sport, animal management, or local population benefit as a justifiable excuse, you are left with killing for the enjoyment of killing. And while everyone certainly has a right to their individual beliefs, even if it includes finding joy in killing, I just don’t. Although I will readily admit that since I still eat meat and wear leather, there is obviously “blood on my hands” too, but the difference is that I find no joy in the required killing.

And equally disturbing to me is that these big game kill photoshoots and the ensuing negative publicity always push gun ownership rights back a few years or a few million dollars in donations. So at a time when the right to possess arms should be a cause that we could all agree on, it seems that some of our actions are counter intuitive and we occasionally shoot ourselves in the foot. Or in this case I guess you could say we pull a Cheney and we occasionally shoot our neighbor’s foot so to speak.

  • Noel February 5, 2015, 5:52 pm

The level of emotion and ignorance by non-hunters and anti-hunters exhibited in this comment section reminds very, very much of the things I hear -and we all condemn – from the ant-gun crowd. No facts, no research, no consideration of the rights for African countries and African people to determine for themselves how to best manage their game populations, no respect for the individual rights of others to determine what’s an acceptable action within a perfectly legal framework.

This TV show will flop, because it’s going to be stupid, poorly done, unwatchable crap – like too many of Remington’s decisions of late, it’s incomprehensibly misguided. BUT….they are not going to erode gun rights as far as the braying loudmouths I see above me, with their arrogant, ill-informed opinions they received from God, Grandaddy, and Walt Disney, who taught them all they need to know about game management, conservation, and endangered species protection.

For the sake of all supporters of the second amendment, shut the fuck up about things you know nothing about

  • B Grif February 5, 2015, 5:08 pm

I’m disappointed.. I assumed the big 5 was, Obama, Biden, Clinton, Boxer and Reid.

  • Dan February 5, 2015, 4:22 pm

Spoiled rich kid who still baby talks at age 20 – yea this is who I want representing my freedom to hunt! Many people are on the fence about our hunting rights, and the materialistic out of touch attitude of this bobble head will surely turn even more of them against us!

  • Tony February 5, 2015, 4:10 pm

Not all trophy hunting is done for conservation reasons. If you have money u can pay thousands of dollars to shoot a tiger that was raised in captivity or was purchased from someone who illegally had it as a pet and couldn’t care for it anymore. Great sport, shooting a tiger that approaches people for food. Watch the 60 Minutes episode on Trophy Hunting. Very often none of the money goes to conservation purposes and the animals are purchased from zoos that were forced to close due to improper facilities. And by the way, there aren’t so many lions in Africa that there is an overpopulation of them and they are starving to death, u make it sound if they’re as common as whitetail deer in the northeast. These stupid hoes should be forced to go hunting with a spear and nothing else.

    • Steve February 5, 2015, 4:42 pm

Ernest Hemmingway once said Men who hunt animals are never satisfied ,Men who hunt men hunt nothing else There are plenty of criminals in the USA to hunt.

  • sasnak1 February 5, 2015, 2:20 pm

I wonder if she will have the Hippo mounted with an open mouth hanging on her wall?

  • Ronnie Heyns February 5, 2015, 2:10 pm

I don’t see where Kendal has done anything that is illegal or immoral. She is obviously very privileged, which is going to attract a lot of jealousy and hate. The money spent of the hunts she has participated with goes to game management that desperately needs resources. To attach her or her actions to any other agenda besides hunting or game management is preposterous. I hope that she continues to be a advocate of wildlife management though out her life.

  • ACKing February 5, 2015, 1:53 pm

You really have some srewball whackos on here ! Dumbos with very little education and no desire to learn..Simple,no hunters,no game..I bet these goofys never spent a dime helping to support the people or animals of Africa…

  • law dawg February 5, 2015, 12:05 pm

Food for thought: people worry and chastise others for hunting animals. Why don’t they feel the same inhumanity about murdering an unborn baby and stop abortion…… WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! 55 million and counting since Rowe vs Wade folks…. God help us.

    • Dan February 5, 2015, 4:28 pm

Interestingly, it has been determined, through statistical analysis, that the main reason for the decrease in violent crime in this country is Rowe vs Wade. Less unwanted children means less crime 20 years later, who would have thought?

  • law dawg February 5, 2015, 11:55 am

Hunting has always been a way of life for all Nations. If I go hunting, Im always very selective about what I kill. The hide and meat are used for clothing and meals. Now , as for killing animals on an endangered species list, I personally would restrain myself. But others have a choice of how they hunt…I think at some point and time the hunting of specific species of animal will have to stop before they become extinct….just food for thought. P.S. fight the Obama regime to keep our second amendment.

  • BC February 5, 2015, 11:31 am

most of you commenters amaze me! y’all assign human traits to animals AND THEN have the uncommon sense to actually believe the adjectives and descriptors that y’all use are for true. REALLY………..murder? y’all disgust me! murder IS COMMITTED BY PEOPLE……TO PEOPLE!!!

God told Simon Peter to eat of ALL creatures that He had created!

“And he went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything defiled or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call defiled.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again. Now while Peter wondered within himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate.”
    Acts 10:9 to 17

lions were killed in biblical times to show prominence, stature, strength, honor, glory, courage, etc!

i kill coyotes, and bobcats and boar hogs all the time and don’t eat them! SO WHAT! it’s called predator and population control. deal with it!

MY SOLUTION for birth control………a good hunt! and guess what, a 20-box of rifle bullets costs less than 1/10 the resources used to “hire a team, buy a sterility compound, capture an animal, weigh it, dose it, then release it!”

what morons we live with nowadays.

  • Rip February 5, 2015, 11:05 am

She’s a lucky girl . Daddy has the money and obviously a tight bond with his daughter.I have a friend that took his two sons on a similar hunt. He works hard for his money and wanted to share memories with his boys. This girl is no different Most meat from the hunt are consumed by the local villagers given by the outfitter.

  • donttreadonme February 5, 2015, 10:52 am

Unless you are going to eat it…don’t shoot it. Stop posting this cap about animal control, we respectable hunters, pro 2nd ammendment folks are dying to keep our firearms out of uncle Sam’s hands..and we got these two tits talking about the big 5.
trophy hunters give us a bad name, do not respect the laws of nature or god, and I bet can’t field strip and take down their big guns under fire…if they ever had to answer our nations call. I’m not jealous I’m disgusted and I believe these two should spend a night in the bush on the calaHari without their rifles see how fun it is to kill wi thout immunity. I have a better idea, let’s go shoot those dressed up dogs at the big dog shows people pay good money to see these mutts running around . Some people should not be allowed to own firearms and these two tits are no exception. Kill wwhat you eat…eat what you kill. Don’t like it..too god damn bad. Read the good book it’s all there.

  • Monsoon February 5, 2015, 10:49 am

Listen to all you supposedly pro gun people (READ: smart people), tearing these girls down and saying such murderous things, when you likely haven’t even done any research of your own?

Do you realize that their kills are fed back to the areas in which the animal was shot?

    Stupids.

  • SE Field February 5, 2015, 10:33 am

I participated in a hunt in Namibia in 2009. They only allow a certain number of animals to be hunted per year based on their populations, using rigid scientific methodology. In years past poachers were a huge problem and the species were facing critical losses. Instead of going the route of Kenya (look it up) where they banned all hunting, they took charge, incentivized the locals to turn in poachers, and started charging people a pretty penny to hunt. It sparked a huge increase not only in the numbers of game, but also brought millions of dollars in to the local economy. My one hunt provided more money to the locals through jobs, taxes, and fees than 10 eco-tourists snapping pics. All animals that could be eaten were eaten, and the pests that we eliminated (baboons and jackals) were still only a drop in the bucket to the numbers over there that need to be culled. Kenya, on the other hand, is rapidly approaching critical mass with regards to depleted game populations because they went the other way. I understand why some people get all gushy and emotional about seeing “exotic” animals hunted. But trust me, over in Africa, most people look at zebra, oryx, kudu, gazelle, and eland the way we look at cows and chickens over here. It IS legal in many countries over there to hunt these creatures, the populations in those countries with proper game management is greater now than ever, and it provides jobs and much needed money to the communities. So before you open your pie-hole to proselytize about what YOU think about this, do a little research.

  • Jimmy February 5, 2015, 10:27 am

Geez – I cannot believe the absolute ignorance of some of the posts here. Before one more of you zipper-heads starts bloviating about the cruel and heartless murder of endangered animals, I suggest you do some research and EDUCATE yourself. Guided African hunts for foreigners do nothing but good for the country, the people that live there and the animals that live there. The animals that are decreasing in number are not in that position because some blonde cheerleader from Texas went on some kind of killing spree. Certain animal populations are decreasing because the African people are destroying their habitat and eating the animals because they do not have anything else to eat. As we have seen over the years, most parts of Africa cannot organize and protect their own natural resources. The money spent by foreign hunters goes toward habitat preservation, it pays for armed guards to ward off poachers and it feeds hundreds of people in areas that have little money or access to food. All the animals killed on safari are eaten by humans or other animals. To say that it is a waste is moronic and misguided. EVEN IF this was wanton murder of majestic African game, it pales in comparison to what is poached by the African people and left rotting in the bush. By participating in the economy over there we encourage conservation and management. If we do not go over there and spend our dollars on hunting, the African people will chop down every tree and eat every single four-footed animal they come across. That’s not just a theory – it’s a fact the world has been proving for more than 100 yrs.

  • Cantxsailor February 5, 2015, 10:11 am

Just another vapid rich girl doing what they do. Collecting trinkets. Conspicuous consumerism at its most disgusting. Any shooter placed in front of the targeted animals could do the killing as well as this person.
There is no courage or honor or much ability needed. Just the money to get you in front of the target.
I hope in the future HER having done this will make “the big five” that much less attractive to others with the means and trophy mentality.

  • Ben Philippi February 5, 2015, 9:53 am

I think the biggest problem anti-hunters have with any televised sport hunting is that it becomes pure entertainment and it looses it’s spirituality.

    • John February 7, 2015, 10:54 am

I agree with you, it loses something when filmed…and I agree that it angers a lot of people by showing this, which just goes to show you how many ignorant people there are out there.
People complaining about the hunt can stop it, just donate enough cash to cover the hunting fee’s that these hunters pay. Of course no one is going to do that.

  • Kevin February 5, 2015, 9:22 am

I read most of these (prior) comments with amazement at the ignorance of most of the commenters. While I have never been able to afford a Safari I was invited to “ride” along on one while I was working at one of our Govt facilities in South Africa. All of these hunts are on preserves where the game populations are very closely and professionaly managed. Absolutely nothing goes to waste. The biggest danger to the populations of these species are poachers. This young lady is actually helping to feed the poor and providing material to a cottage industry which helps the poor help themselves. It would be nice to see most of you commenters to actually educate yourselves and stop your bitching about what you know so little about. These “hunts” have been going on for a couple hundred years, mostly by “men”, and we never hear any of you negatively ignorant comments about them. Time for you to grow up and get a little smarter!

    • David February 5, 2015, 9:55 am

Thank you! It’s so incredibly obvious that many of the previous posters have no clue what is done with the money, meat, and other resources that go along with one of these African hunts. If it weren’t for foreign dollars coming into their countries from hunters many of these governments and private foundations wouldn’t have enough funds to properly protect these beautiful species in the first place. Poachers are the ones to be deplored and many of the efforts to stop these poachers come from the wallets and purses of big game hunters.

    • Jerry February 5, 2015, 9:57 am

Right on the money Kevin! Thank god somebody with a clue spoke up!

    • Joe February 5, 2015, 11:40 am

Justification of wanton abuse is not a desirable trait. I hope your next target get’s it’s licks in on you before it dies because you shot if from the safety of a blind surrounded by guides with elephant guns to protect your coddled butts.

  • Ringo Lapua February 5, 2015, 9:02 am

Kendall Jones is a typical redneck young girl with not much between the ears and at best a 5-6 face and body on a scale of 10. Her bleach blonde hair sexually excites older redneck men with money to waste on her, most who would have a hard time buyin sex with a crate full of $100 bills. In short, KENDALL JONES is BAD FOR THE NRA, BAD FOR HUNTING, BAD FOR THE 2nd AMENDMENT because our liberal enemies use this airheaded clueless bloodthirsty narcissist bimbo as a poster child and shining example of how cruel, heartless and wonton hunting and guns are. SOMEBODY PUT A GAG IN HER MOUTH and SMASH HER DANG CAMERA.

    • John February 5, 2015, 9:20 am

Shut the fuck up and stop whining.

    • Mark Oliver February 5, 2015, 9:23 am

Did you know that the only reason some of these animals are still here is because of people like these girls fund conservation projects by taking out the older animals that really don’t contribute to the species anymore.if you were a rally Hunter and sportsman you would know this and know that the tribes over there eat every last bite of it

    • Alan February 5, 2015, 9:46 am

You’re bad for the lot of the shooting sports. You’re also a sexist pig.

  • GT February 5, 2015, 9:00 am

She is a marketing tool and has no clue that she is killing not hunting. This is a sin in God’s eyes “thou shalt not kill”. The “Big 5 is a shameful act that will eventually deprive all future generations the pleasure and joy of seeing these animals live on within the circle of life on our great planet. Very sad!

  • The Colonel February 5, 2015, 8:45 am

There’s a certain illogic to these PETA and other ‘animal rights’ people. Animals don’t have ‘rights;’ people have both rights (life, liberty, due process of law, free speech, etc) and obligations (to support government through taxes, to obey the law, and -morally- to avoid cruelty and waste). If animals truly had such ‘rights,’ the zebra would have a ‘right’ to be protected from the lion; the bunny would have a ‘right’ not to be chased by murderous coyotes. Yet then the carnivores would have no ‘right’ to live. It’s odd that this logical fallacy isn’t thrown back at the Bambi-types more often.

  • Mike Reckert February 5, 2015, 8:39 am

Are we really still doing this!!! I am sure that there are even more out there doing the same, which doesn’t make it right. COLD HEART’ED doesn’t even come close to what I am thinking. Why don’t you ask her to enlist and take her talents to the conflict with ISIS and hunt some real animals. If she is looking for trophies, I am sure they would oblige. I have no respect for the people harvesting these majestic animals. I think she is a very confused, and irresponsible!!! We are doing enough damage to Mother Nature without bringing the low numbers down just for sport.

  • chris February 5, 2015, 8:32 am

I like a lot of others grew up with a dad who instilled the “you only kill it if you are going to eat it”, philosophy about hunting. so to that point I don’t even measure the racks on any deer I’ve shot.hell I don’t even know how to score a deer rack. hell, I tend to brag more about how the dish I made with that animal tastes than the size of the animal or type of animal. Anyway, I guess my opinion on hunting is just a little bit different than these folks. But that’s just one old hunters opinion. whatever that’s worth……..

  • fugots February 5, 2015, 8:22 am

This seems somehow wasteful and selfish in this day and age..I guess some people still must make the same mistakes that we made in the past..Proof again that history will repeat itself…

  • Kit February 5, 2015, 7:58 am

‘… Interview AVID hunter… and her partner in CRIME.’

Indefensible, criminal shoot. Shame on you. If there’s any justice in the afterlife you’ll be a head mount in hell.

  • Steve February 5, 2015, 7:55 am

Funny i thought it was illegal to hunt elephants, lions, rhinos , & leopards, especially when they’re on the endangered species list .

  • Pepe February 5, 2015, 7:49 am

Trophy hunting is not my thing, but I support her right to do it. Just show respect to the animal you harvest…

    • Pepe Not February 5, 2015, 8:20 am

Pepe – I am generally all for peoples individual rights. I am not a proponent of gun control legislation, I believe that the second amendment was enacted to provide a counter balance of power between the people and its government, so I am all for firearms, big, small and everything in between, as being something every able bodied american should have the right to own and operate. The only exceptions being people convicted of violent crimes! Yes, I believe people who have received a non violent low level felony in their past should have a right to own a firearm once they pay the debt that they owe to society.
With that being said, I support these individuals right to hunt in the sense that they are not breaking the laws of the country that they are visiting. So I applaud the right of unpopular opionion being protected as much as that of popular opinion.
That said, I cannot comprehend how the senseless execution of these incredible wild animals would result in anything resembling a harvest! Were talking about some of the most incredible animals on the planet, some of which are on the verge of extinction, being executed for the sole purpose of getting a thrill. Stuffing a Lion is not harvesting anything. If you want to get the thrill of going up against these powerful animals to show your strength, then go lace up your boots, and go into the ring with a lion head to head and see how long you last. If these girls took out a lion that had an opportunity to defend itself, that would be impressive, yet would never happen in a million years. All 5 of these animals would tear any human being to shreds in a head to head fair fight… While I respect the right they have to do this, I also respect my rights to express how shallow, self centered, insecure and ignorant these dumb broads are! I would highly recommend anyone who has the common sense to realize that this is not an honorable use of firearms, to protest by ensuring your television is never tuned to their program’s, and that your computer never points to anything that they support.
I hope they figure it out, they are certainly idiots! That said, those idiots still have rights, and I would not wish to see them taken from the girls because I dont agree or approve of their choices…

      • Dewey Vicknair February 5, 2015, 8:39 am

        Well stated!

        • Ringo Lapua February 5, 2015, 9:06 am

Well stated, but you did not go far enough. Check out my comment below if the admins allow it to be printed. Why pull any punches. Gag these little maggots.

      • jimmy February 5, 2015, 10:42 am

Not Head – you don’t have a fucking clue what you are talking about.

  • Diane Vicknair February 5, 2015, 7:45 am

Science has proven beyond doubt that elephants are sentient beings (and probably a good bit more intelligent than these two).
They feel every emotion that humans do and are better parents than most people.
Certain species of Rhino are almost gone so yeah, just shoot what’s left. After all, bragging rights in a dick-swinging contest is a much more noble effort than possibly learning something from such incredible creatures.
Anyone who shoots these animals is a C-U-Next-Tuesday, just like these two, and makes all hunters and shooters look like ignorant knuckle-draggers.

And yes, I make my living in the firearms industry.

    • Alan February 5, 2015, 9:44 am

Well, if you make your living here, then shame on you.
You obviously don’t know about CONSERVATION.
Tell us, WHY was the animal allowed to be taken?
Perhaps because highly educated people (Biologists) knew that the area couldn’t support that many Lions?
So we should let them destroy the local food source with too many Lions, and allow the entire population to fall into slow death by starvation? Not to mention the game animals they feed on. you don’t know squat about it, do you?
Nearly ALL trophy hunting in Africa is under carefully controlled conditions with the OVERALL population in mind.
These hunts employ MANY locals and help keep them from poaching the animals for food.
Your emotional tirade does the rest of us great disservice, and I’m upset with you if you really are among us.

      • Capn Stefano February 5, 2015, 10:57 am

“Conservation” of this sort (if so) combined with this sort of publicity harms the shooting sports as well as the 2nd Amendment. For every person who thinks it’s “cool”, 1,000 are outraged. I’ve been an activist for the 2nd since 1986. Do you want me gone as well? Keep shooting yourselves in the foot…

        • Alan February 5, 2015, 12:50 pm

Nonsense! This isn’t about you. It’s about the entire ECOLOGY of the area.
These animals WILLED be killed, either by a Govt. hunter, which COSTS money, or by a Sport hunter, which puts money in the system. It’s population control, pure and simple.
You cant both a good ecology and a no kill system, it just wont work.
Again, you know little of which you speak, it’s ALL emotionally based for you, and you’ve been brain washed like the rest.

        • Tom G February 6, 2015, 12:05 am

What hurts shooters, the sport and the NRA are people like yourself who just don’t get or just don’t know about how conservation works. More to the point the folks complaining about hunting would still promote their anti gun agenda even if hunting these animals wasn’t an issue. They would just go on to the next lie.
Apparently these two gals have quite a following of fuzzy headed liberals, peta crackpots stalking them everywhere on the internet. Do you see yourself Capn Stefno, Diane Vicknair, Joe , Discussed, Ringo Lapua. . Wow the forum is lousy with bigots today.

  • Dp February 5, 2015, 7:42 am

If you don’t like what she is doing then don’t fucking watch her do it ! That simple !

    • Joe February 5, 2015, 9:11 am

Sure, let’s just turn a blind eye… so simple, we don’t want to hurt our little sensibilities do we?

Yet, while we do… more animals are getting killed for pleasure or for mounting or another senseless reason. Previous poster got it right… if you’re not going to eat it, why shoot it?

      • andrew February 5, 2015, 10:00 am

        Because it’s cool

        • Capn Stefano February 5, 2015, 10:52 am

          1) It’s the opposite of cool

          2) It harms the true hunting sports and causes serious negative public opinion repercussions

        • DARYLE February 9, 2015, 10:41 pm

There it is it’s cool to kill. I was never taught that. “OH BROTHER WHAT AN??????

  • Discussed February 5, 2015, 7:36 am

If these dumb €un+$ keep getting the pub. like this, they will continue to do these senseless hunts. Why? I personally would blacklist them and they will go away. EAD bitches!

  • J. February 5, 2015, 7:28 am

As an avid hunter, chef and conservationist, Ms. Jones is the product of conditioning and a “tv fame = success” mindset. Another poster mentioned if you’re not going to eat it, shoot it with camera. Why would anyone have the “need” let alone allocate the resources to complete 2 big-five hunts in a lifetime, let alone before age 20.

Ms. Jones’ family’s means clearly eclipse good sense and any base level conservation ethics. Thanks for making the sporting life that much more difficult to justify Ms. Jones. You also might consider a voice coach and a new “business manager” he has not prepped you with the language or interview skills to represent yourself as anything but a brainwashed very spoiled rich girl. “Like, you know?”

Remington should really take a hard look at where they are planning to throw their money.

    • andrwe February 5, 2015, 10:00 am

You’re just jealous that you can’t afford to do it. The huge amount of money paid to go on these hunts provides the funds needed for the conservation efforts that maintain the species and keep the poachers at bay.

      • JimmyC February 5, 2015, 10:48 am

It is interesting how most of these comments sound like whiny little babies that didn’t get a white pony too!

    • Dittohd February 7, 2015, 3:09 pm

Why are you anti hunters even here? Go Away and let us enjoy these girls success and hard work to get there and kill these animals. I can not afford to do this kind of hunting but would in a second if I had the finances. You are so blinded to how this takes place and what happens after the kill. It is pathetic to read such ignorance. No dead animal goes to waste even if left laying in the wilderness! It provides food for birds and insects, as well as other scavenger animals. Get a grip on life morons!

  • Steve K February 5, 2015, 7:10 am

    So sad…so sad.

  • Joe Momma February 5, 2015, 6:25 am

Both of those little douchebags need to be put out in the bush wearing meat jackets.

  • Joe February 5, 2015, 6:02 am

    Senseless…
Unless your gonna eat it, shoot it with a camera
    Just my humble opinion…

    • Wayne C. February 5, 2015, 10:24 am

I consider myself kind of a macho dude and find myself agreeing with this comment… Hmmmm.

      • Capn Stefano February 5, 2015, 10:43 am

Count me in. I’m a hunter and super pro 2nd Amendment. If you don’t eat or or if it’s endangered, use a camera. I was disgusted at the sight of that twit lording it over the King of Beasts she just senselessly killed

        • Marissa Gomez February 5, 2015, 11:43 am

I agree 100%. I see no point in killing something you are not going to eat. Just so you can brag and boast about it to your friends in a sad excuse to take a life, even worse the life of an endangered species. Oh and by the way I too hunt and only the things my family and I are planning on putting on the dinner table.

        • Jeff Johns February 5, 2015, 1:35 pm

You realize of course that because she did not eat, what she shot, does not mean it went to waste, I suggest all you people that are slamming her on those basis, look into the laws of Africa and how even a legal non native hunters right to or lack there of the posession of the meat, most if not all of which is used to feed the locals of the area, that are most always very needy, it would be nice if so many of you would go armed with some knowledge of what you are slamming these individuals for, and how it is unjustified to do so, these people are ethical hunters working well within the laws, doing something they enjoy, just because you don’t like it, does not give you the right for the hate you spreed, after all I’m sure that you do a lot of things every day that someone will hate, in fact I’m positive of that.

          • Daryle February 9, 2015, 10:22 pm

Killing is for food or protection. If the animal was about to attack kill it. If your hungry and you need to eat lion,
kill it. If the Africans are hungry let them kill it ( can’t understand the need for lion or rhino meat ) but I live in the USA. She paid a large fee just so she could say she killed a lion. If you care that much donate the money feed the Africans and save the animals.

        • SmokeHillFarm February 6, 2015, 2:02 am

Generally, the local natives or the guides & hunt staff, will eat any animal that is shot (yes, they DO eat lions, too).

Just because you don’t eat cat meat doesn’t mean that others don’t.

And perhaps you should learn something about the carefully-managed, legal African big game hunts, whose huge licensing fees provide most of the funding for anti-poaching and conservation programs. And they also give the local natives a huge incentive to stop poachers, since the legal hunts provide much of the employment for the tribes.

    • Rick Hardy February 5, 2015, 4:06 pm

To kill an animal which is healthy in order to say you did it and stick somewhere as a trophy is wrong. Hunt for food or because the animal is sick. If you are going to kill a predator just for a trophy, I suggest you go after it on equal footing. Dump a bucket of cow or pigs blood on your head and go after it with a large knife in one hand and a .45 in the other. You want to kill a predator, be a predator. Up close and personal. None of this safe distance stand off hoooie.

  • Pierre Beauregard February 5, 2015, 3:53 am

This is absolutely despicable . Kendall is getting her fame and no way is she going to realize the sin she is performing on the animals in Africa. This mental problem of being a socialpath will not let her recognize this and the same people that enjoy her adventures. I is sad. She could go on to kill other things I suppose. Maybe people.

    • Tom Makowski February 5, 2015, 8:05 am

      GET A LIFE!

    • Alan February 5, 2015, 9:23 am

You’re people, aren’t you? How would you like if I suggested you be killed?
As to sin, you’re no Religious person, so how would you know what sin is? You couldn’t be by your suggestion.
THAT is a sin greater than any.
And what exactly is a “socialpath” ? Did you mean sociopath? Do you even KNOW the definition?
Apparently not, because she took the animals legally, she shared with others, and she doesn’t exhibit ANY of the traits of the affliction.
In others words, you’re a fool with no real grasp of that to which you speak.
You’re illiterate, of very low knowledge, and possess NO skills in logic or deduction.
Like so many other comments here, not a one of you understands HOW the Conservation system works, and that LEGAL harvest of animals supports the entire animal system, including anti poaching of endangered species.
So, ya’ll should put your money where your collective mouths are, and send money to the various COUNTRIES in Africa to support Conservation efforts.
Not the fund for animals or any other organization who do little and support high end folks living in fancy houses while playing to your silly emotions.
So take the challenge losers, support those Countries conservation systems, or stop your whining and get off your high horses you hypocrites!

    • KENNETH G. ELLSWORTH February 5, 2015, 10:33 am

I AM A AVID FIREARMS OWNER/CARRIER AND WHILE I DO NOT CARE TO HUNT, I THINK IT IS FINE THAT OTHERS DO IN ANY LEGAL AND SAFE MANNER-MR BEAUREGARD IS THE PERSON I WOULD WORRY ABOUT WITH ALL HIS PETTY NAME CALLING AND HATE MONGERING.HIS OPINIONS ARE BEST KEPT TO HIMSELF.KEEP DOING WHAT YOU LOVE YOUNG LADY-KATFISH KEN

    • aydene February 5, 2015, 11:46 am

There is a surge one gets when killing that is like no other, whether in combat or hunting in the woods. I hunt with a camera. My gun hobby is tin can and paper targets, once in a while blowing up a jello jar. With the depletion of the rhino population for their horns, lives lost for foolish, failed, medicinal uses, these young ladies gleem with pride at taking yet another life for no reason other than their own self aggrandizement. Ladies, enlist and fight the foe. Innocent animals do us no harm. All other Creatures of the Earth are innocent.

      • SmokeHillFarm February 6, 2015, 1:56 am

If it weren’t for the carefully-managed, LEGAL hunts of big game in Africa, the anti-poaching and conservation programs there wouldn’t exist. Those huge fees fund those programs, and give the natives a huge incentive to protect those animals against poaching for hides, trophies, ivory, etc. – since the poachers pay no fees.

I also don’t hunt, except for killing foxes and coyotes on my farm, but I have absolutely no problem with the legal big game hunts that — ironically, I must admit — protect those animals from extinction.

    • uber_Pat February 5, 2015, 8:03 pm

      TROLL!

    • christopher February 6, 2015, 1:52 am

      socialpath?

    • Fedup February 7, 2015, 10:10 am

      You’re showing your ignorance.

    • Loran Kelley February 7, 2015, 5:34 pm

Wait…. you actually think…. that hunting leads to being a murderer??

By the way it’s “Sociopath, not socialpath” and they are born that way and most “Sociopaths” start by torturing and killing animals that are pets not hunting wild game.

I grew up hunting. I have killed many animals in my life. I have NEVER had any desire to kill another person or a pet or torture any animal needlessly.

You are talking out of your ass and know nothing about her, or me or other people who will “enjoy her adventures.”

There is nothing wrong with being closer to your food and knowing how and enjoying to hunt wild animals. You actually have developed your state of mind because you have spent your entire life surrounded by modern convenience, you don’t know where your food comes from, where your clothes come from or your how house was built. Therefor you see a practice that mankind has been doing since it has walked the earth and you call it a mental problem. Wow… just wow!
