Legendary Sure Shot Game Calls Continues to Innovate: New One2 — SHOT Show 2018

I am not going to pretend to know anything about duck calls, but I do know this. If a company has been making them since 1959, they probably know what they are doing. Sure Shot gave us a little bit of an education on how this is done, as well as why they are different. Their patented double reed design was designed by the famous James “Cowboy” Fernandez and George Yentzen back in ’50s. Once the patent ran, 15 years later, other companies began jumping into the double reed design.

Sure Shot uses a different style of architecture in how a call is built, going back to the companies first patent, for a double reed call held together by rivets. Starting in 1959, they won pretty much every calling contest in the world for a decade straight. Since that first duck call, they have expanded into many styles of predator calls, and continue to be used by hunters around the world today.

SPECS:

  • Yentzen ONE2 introduces an advanced new Reed System.
  • A redesigned Screw Lock system for smoother and faster assembly and tuning.
  • Re-Engineered tone chamber makes the ONE2 twice as loud as the previous model.
  • An all new Walnut band gives the perfect accent and pays tribute to its ancestors.
  • MSRP: $160

New for this year, the Yentzen One2. Yes, that spelling is correct. We got the rep at the Booth to give us a demo, and they didn’t lie about improved sound. With a long-standing reputation in the waterfowl industry, if you’re looking to add a call to your lanyard we recommend you give a the One2 a try. Undoubtedly, Sure Shot makes a high-quality product and has been a pioneer in duck call design. Perhaps the best yet is their lifetime guarantee.

Yentzen Sure Shot double reed call was my call of choice 50yrs ago and still has a place on my lanyard. Today as it was back then this call was deadly, when nothing else would turn them and make them commit the Yentzen did!
