Lone Wolf is expanding into the S&W Shield platform.

Make sure to visit the Lone Wolf website for more information.

Lone Wolf is best known for the non-Glock, Glock. They have long been the go-to source for parts and innovative custom iterations on the iconic pistol at prices that won’t break the bank. They have expanded into other products in recent years, such as the hot pistol caliber carbine and even the 1919 of late.

Smith & Wesson Customization

Adding the optic only adds .61 oz.

For 2017, they branched out quietly into a new pistol platform: the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield. This starts with the Alpha Wolf barrel in all flavors Shield (9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP) including a threaded option. Take your pick for $139.95 for the standard barrel and $159.95 for the threaded option.

All the Alpha Wolf barrels are made from 416 stress relieved stainless steel, button rifled and fluted. These barrels will fire lead or jacket ammunition, and best of all they are drop-in fit.

The next treatment offered for the Shield is a slide cut that allows the installation of a red dot sight. This is a turn-key job on your slide for just $124.99. They are selling the Shield REFLEX MINI SIGHT, an aluminum-framed red dot that is sized perfectly for the Smith and Wesson Shield with either a 4 MOA dot or a 8 MOA dot. It uses one 3V lithium CR2032 battery that will last two to three years of normal use. Brightness is automatically adjusted based on environment. This set up only adds 0.61 ounces to your pistol.

Signature Series

The options with the signature series.

Not to worry, though, they have not forgotten where their bread is buttered. They have a new series called the “Signature Series.” This takes the options to a whole new level with a list of choices to make a fully custom pistol for about half the price of what others are offering.

Lone Wolf is offering 5 color choices on their stainless-steel slide. You can then choose if and how you want windows cut into the slide. It can be cut for the optic of your choice (Lone Wolf can provide it or you can add your own).  You can even add a cover for the optic cut. To finish the slide off, the barrel and slide are then crowned to match perfectly. The frame has the Lone Wolf UAT (ultimate adjustable trigger) added along with a stainless enhanced magazine well.

All of this starts at $1,000.00 and runs up to $1,500.00 based on options and optics.  Make sure to visit the Lone Wolf website for more information.

What do you think?

Prices for the signature series start around $1,000.

Lone wolf in interesting though i dont know why they have the “chat” feature on their website. They never monitor it. You can be on a “9 minute” wait for a few hours or until you give up and call.

Will they be branching out into the M&P Market? I could use a new barrel for my S&W M&P 40L Performance Center 5″ in .357 Sig after all…
