MasterPiece Arms MPA20DMG

We recently reviewed MasterPiece Arms MPA30DMG 9mm, a sort of MAC 10 look-a-like that is part of the company’s Defender series.

Well, meet the latest addition, an apparent full-sized version.  The MPA20DMG 9mm Carbine (photo above). From the Masterpiece Arms press release:

This is our new 9mm Carbine based on the 930DMG Pistol but in a full size frame, similar to our 30SST.

The grip is our most ergonomically designed grip system incorporating a “Solidworks” designed profile allowing the use of standard Glock style magazines, with a low profile magazine release and “Decal Grip” grip panels.

The lower is machined from aircraft grade aluminum, provides cleaner lines and lighter weight than our standard steel receivers.

The Handguard is produced from an Aluminum Extrusion, has no fasteners, and is free floating. The inner diameter of the Handguard is 1.570″.

The pistol also includes additional upgraded features such as adjustable front and rear sights, plus Cerakote Tungsten coating.

In 45 I am all over this!

  • Larry Koehn July 13, 2015, 5:32 pm

Why do they make carbines in mouse killer rounds? Even a beloved 45 has no range to speak of. Why are there not a large selection of 10mm guns? Longer range and more whack is an understatement. If I want a 9 or a 40 I have pistols. I do have a 10mm pistol but a nice carbine to go with it would be something to consider.

Why would manufacturers produce carbines in the most popular pistol calibers, often with magazines that are interchangeable with some of the most widely used makes & models of pistols? The question answers itself. You might as well ask “why do firearms manufacturers want to sell their products?”

But, fret not. TNW makes the Aero chambered in 10mm.

How ironic that you would choose the Admiral Lord Mountbatten for this farce: he is after all, a man who was murdered on the street by an umbrella!

    • Jjeffcoat July 13, 2015, 8:46 pm

As said earlier, he was killed on his boat by an IRA bomb.
WTF? An umbrella ?? Wait, I know. You didn’t graduate from elementary school. That explains it.
Don’t criticize others unless you have the brains to keep up with those that know.

This video has to hurt sales.

Looks very sharp, however, I am not a big fan of 9mm. Let me know when this gun becomes available in .40 S&W and/or .45ACP. You have quite a bit of competition in the PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine) area, and it will be hard to beat the Hi-Point carbine. I own the 4095ts carbine, and unless you can produce a carbine chambered for .40 S&W, and can offer the reliability and sturdiness and warranty of Hi-Point, I for one will be highly underwhelmed. Until you can produce a carbine that sells for around $250, has a lifetime warranty, and goes ‘BANG’ every time you push the go button. I will not be interested, not matter how neat it looks.

Actually Lord Mountbatten and several family members (including children) were killed by IRA murderers who blew up his fishing boat.
