Missouri Mom Draws Down On Teen Threatening Her Son

An overprotective Missouri mother pulled a gun on a couple of loud-mouthed teens who had earlier threatened her son.

Tracy Leeser, armed with a pistol, and her husband Don Leeser, armed with a baseball bat, showed up to the park to protect their 15-year-old son Brett from 15-year-old Tyrelle Ware, 18-year-old Terrence Ware, and teenager Jack Herren. When the shouting match between the teens and the Leeser’s escalated, Tracy pulled out her piece.

But it all started last week after Don broke up a fight between two girls who are friends with the teens. Don pulled a knife on Terrence during the confrontation, and the “bad blood” between the families has only gotten worse.

Later, Brett texted his parents expressing concern that he was about to get jumped by the teens. And that’s when the adults showed up.

Video footage of the incident shows Tracy shouting back and forth with the teens before pulling a pistol from her right pants pocket. The brazen teens try baiting the mother into shooting them and Tracy responds by occasionally pointing the gun at them.

No injuries occurred during the argument, but Tyrelle and Terrence’s mother Christina Halton says Tracy and Don need to be charged.

“If they don’t get charged, what kind of example are we setting for our children – that it’s okay to pull guns on kids?” said Halton. “No, this is not how we deal with kids.”

Tracy, however, says she was in the right, and only drew her weapon because she felt threatened.

“Did I intend to use the gun? Absolutely not,” said Tracy. “But I felt that was my only safeguard against being killed that night. Worst-case scenario, yes, I would have used it. But I didn’t.”

So far, no charges have been filed against any of the involved parties.

The lady has no IDEA of handgun safety or the local laws against “menacing” (assuming Missouri has such laws).

But I found it odd that the mother of two kids who themselves menaced a 15 year-old kid is talking about someone else setting a bad example for kids.

I would be calling for the gun-waver to come up on charges, too, had it been MY boys threatening that kid, but I’d have saved the rest of that speech for after my two kids had been dealt with for what they did.

I am one of the unfortunate citizens forced to share a city with the leesers. It is well known that Tracy Leeser likes to brag about receiving disability from the state of Missouri for a mental disorder. Pro-gun or not, would anyone want a documented mentally impaired person running amuck and pointing loaded weapons at whomever they please in their neighborhood? Because I sure as hell don’t! Does this crazy woman have to kill someone before she is charged? This is a complete outrage!

“Did I intend to use the gun? Absolutely not,” said Tracy.
Interesting, I was always do not pull your weapon unless you are ready, willing and able to pull the trigger. Here she is just trying to scare some one. If you are going to shoot then make sure you are in the right.

First off I am a father of two truly beautiful, intelligent, and strong girls. Both of my daughter’s have been taught how to shoot, handle, and maintain a plethora of firearms. My opinion is if I am truly in fear of my daughter’s life or my own, I WILL NOT wave a pistol around. Point blank. I WILL NOT cross the barrel of a loaded/unloaded weapon with anyone im not intending to shoot. Plain and simple. And my daughter’s are taught the same. Some people go out, get a permit and pistol and thats it. I believe my right to carry a weapon on myself also means I take responsibility. Responsibility in taking courses an classes that prepare a person for altercations. Learn first how to act and react. Because carrying a weapon means that you are responsible for that weapon and more so yourself. The saying “Rather have it and not need it ,then need it and not have it” doesn’t just mean the hardware. It also means the mentality.

Sounds like a teachable moment to me. You could spend a day on the handgun issue, but that doesn’t get to the core of the matter. And since this is black on black violence, no Sharpton or Obama will be heard on this matter. It is sad, but there’s other issues ON BOTH SIDES that need to be solved here first.

I was unable to view the video for my first comment so I must retract my comment about this being a black on black crime. So we can expect Sharpton or Obama to charge in here at any moment and for there to be riots and demonstrations and martial law declared and no end to law suits. But all my other comments still stand. And no I am not apologizing for initially thinking this was a black on black crime. Deal with it. I’m not racist, I was just playing the odds.
