Overview

Everything you like about the EAA Witness can now be had in a polymer frame with the P Match series. Think of it as your race gun, on a diet. This is a perfect carry option or competition pistol if you are already a fan of the CZ-75 stylings of the Witness family, but need something a little lighter. The steel frame on a double stack gun absolutely does add up over a full day, the weight savings here is immense. The best part? Your gun can be converted to chamberings ranging from .22 LR to .45 ACP. Now that is a versatile handgun!

Impression

I liked the handling and feel of the pistol, and it seems like it will be a real shooter. These Witness pistols have a good reputation in competitive shooting circles, and I suspect this new polymer pistol will fit in just fine with the rest of the line.

I would to see inside the frame on one of these. To me one of the biggest benefits of the CZ 75 design is support and guidance of the slide from stem to stern and that may not be so with the polymer guns. I own both Tanfoglio and EAA Tanfoglio pistols and it seems the biggest difference is fit and finish. My Tanfoglios have fewer sharp corners and it would appear that this new race gun has the typical EAA sharp edges on the dust cover and slide. While re holstering my Large frame EAA Witness would shave material before I de horned it. I do wish that they would ad a step in their manufacturing to break sharp edges. maybe a little more cost but worth it.
